Discussion My New Original Novel No Longer On QI

Hello Everyone,
A few changes! This novel is no longer available on QI, it's only available on Royal Roads going forward. Well, the chapters i put on QI i'll leave up for the readers there, but all future chapters, as well as the past chapters, will be on RRL.

Synopsis: Facing an apocalypse of its own making, the people of Earth reached for the stars. Unfortunately, they grabbed more than they expected. When disaster struck, the population was decimated. However, from the ashes rose a new force for humanity. 500 years later, the world has changed in ways that no one foresaw. In a world where titans of men compete for survival, Braden Nolan must find his own way in this world, balancing the expectations of his clan with his own values.

 

The title reminds me of Legend of the Legendary Heroes. I normally avoid original novels, but maybe I'll try this one. Just cause the title is so nostalgic

U have written it for 34 chaps at this point u should know what u want to write in future to some extent . Put Tags on what the novel is about , description does nothing to appeal to new readers in and itself put Tags and tell us what we will be reading

 

What's this no Qidian hate? Have people matured now or am I just early .
Might check out the novel later though since it sounds interesting at first like a sci-fi post apoc that is believable.

 

No need for hate, I just use /r/QidianUnderground and aggregation sites for all QI works.

Though it's less 'hate' and more 'why the hack would you license everything to QI?!' Not really trustworthy people for something you spend your heart and soul on.

Thank you. However, they have a limited license while I maintain copyright. I can take down my work at anytime, and, as the copyright holder, if they block me from doing so I can file a DMCA claim and they will be forced to take it down. I was also concerned about this as I was around when they did all that crap with WW.

Sorry not a fan of post-apocalyptic stories. But if you had written it as a yuri work I sure would have checked it out. Hehe.

You might as well make a pdf of your novel and sell on Amazon rather than put it on Qidian, knowing that they will never pay the so called "original English authors". There's already complains about qidian skipping on payments buts idiots still keep getting fooled by them. Try contacting creativenovels, volare, etc. @Wujigege @ai-chan ... someone tag the relevant parties that can help the dude

First thanks for the concern! What you're talking about are the people who are contracted authors with Webnovel. I am not a contracted author with them. When you post your work on inkstone you give them a limited license to publish your work and put it on their app. However, you maintain copyright and do not receive any sort of money from them. You can also remove your work at any time. The limited license only applies for so long as you are using their website. If you do well enough on the site you are offered a contract from them. However, I don't intend to accept a contract from them. The main reason is that I don't want to be restricted creatively, and I hear that is a problem. When I do eventually publish, it will be self published on Amazon as you mentioned.

 

Anyone can post their original stories yes. As for paypal, I'm not sure? I suppose you could post it if you want. It's more of a preference issue. Patreon is nice because you can have early release chapters posted and limit the chapters so they are only viewable to patrons.
