Recommendations Necromancy

I recently played the game Right Click To Necromance (its a fun little game and its free) and now i have a craving for a necromancer story.

Please recommend me something like that:
- its good if the mc starts with nothing, but its definitely no good if he starts op with everything like Overlord
- I want the mc to be a necromancer and not a mage that can use necromancy but only when he feels like it. I want to see the mc amassing armies, razing villages, with the focus being on the mc as a necromancer and not the mc as a One Man Army.

I dont care about the origin of the story(original, Japanese.......whatever)

Also you should try Right Click To Necromanc, its short, its fun and its free. And it might also develop a craving for a necromancy story within you.

The Epic Tale of the Forsaken Hero is the closest I can think of. He uses his ability to raise the dead.

Well....

Bringing the Farm to another world has... the MC assuming the role of a 'black mage', and more particularly as someone who controls undead . He can't summon undead ,but his cheat allows him to take control of any undead he wishes within a close proximity of him. He doesn't necessarily need his undead to create havoc, because he has other methods which might be more effective, but as he gets more and more undead all of them grow in power in various ways.

Sooo....

• Has undead, but not from his necromantic abilities
• Can become an actual necromancer later
• Amasses armies ( I guess an army of 1000+ undead is enough)
• Doesn't necessarily want to create havoc, 'cept for everyone who caused problems for his family, and there are many of them
• Not really in a position to become a One Man Army atm, his only strength comes from his undead, his cheat (which currently has 1 direct combat ability, 'cept against some specific types of enemies) and his subordinates due to his status

Fulfills some, doesn't fulfill others of your criterias, but it's also quite fun

 

Rise of a Lich on Royalroadl original novel but it may stop if the author don't have fun at this anymore cause writing / translating is a lot of work

 

Great Demon King- i read a few chapters and he only raised one undead and im pretty sure he'll eventually just cultivate normally like everybody else. Well correct me if im wrong(and ill be happy)
LMS was definitely very cool and close to what i want, unfortunately it was only for one volume and i already read it.

Rise of the lich is a cool story and it exactly fits the bill, unfortunately i have already read it.

i guess ill revisit Bringing the Farm to another world if raising crops isnt all hell ever do.

The MC is a Elder Lith I think ?

 

He raised one undead, which is showing remarkable capabilities and is steadily growing, but he also created several 'Scout' shades and several normal skeletons for manual labor. Eventually I guess he'll get more, but currently he's rather low-key, due to his situation and strength.

As for the farm, read the synopsis on one of the earlier translating sites, and you'll learn a bit more about his capabilities, some of which will terrify him. Also, he might want to raise crops( for profit, and for expanding his cheat), but whenever someone bothers him, it's destruction time. And it's been repeatedly mentioned their goal is to stay low-key, until they have the strength to totally eliminate his enemies, otherwise they would totally eliminate them right now, but they don't because they think they have no hope at all.

Thanks, I guess ill continue Great Demon King and Bringing The Farm where I left off, but for now ill try Necromancer(thats a good name!).
also i have already read Overlord and its one of my favorite novels. Though he is too op for what i am looking for right now.
