thats tough. but i think zuo mo from World of Cultivation is with the least cheat. like 10-15% cheat, the rest is hard work.
Enormous magical golden ball inside your head and djinni grandpa in the lamp ring don't count as cheats? p.s. the only novel you will find without cheats are ones where the MC is already so OP on their own that he doesn't need any special "heaven defying" items. I guess Zhanxian / Immortal Executioner is one of the few that doesn't have a cheat besides his previous iteration of life.
the golden ball in his head isnt a cheat, its literally his latent talent.... and grandpa in the ring is just a teacher, he only saved him like once during the beginning and another time deep into the story (like 8 volumes+ in) edit: 7 volumes, close enough
Good luck with your search, can you even have a xianxia novel without the main character having a cheat? How else will he suddenly and "unexpectedly" overcome his humble beginnings, and get revenge on everyone that didn't respect him?

Why dont i see anyone rec Ze Tian Ji ?? He is one of the only mc that does not have any true cheat He only has knowledge that he did not get from any previous life but studied since he was a small kid Hell you can say he has the most normal start (or rather worse)than any mc but the book is still very good Spoiler he has broken veins which do not get healed till very late ( around chap 160-180 Edit: its not a good book but best book i have read
CD had Grampa Doehring but that was at the beginning of his cultivation but the sculpting technique he taught him helped him a lot.
