    I'm a sucker for angst. I think I got addicted to it after 2ha and proceeded to binge read SCSG, SSSG, and The Decade of Deep Love. All of them were kind abusive and explicit, I realized... I also read a few others but none of them were quite as satisfyingly full of angst that would make me cry after it.
    As one of the translators noted, I'm not sure whether I'm a sadist or masochist for liking those novels.
    (Why are they all BL, you might ask? I dunno, I don't I've read a satisfying angst straight romance novel yet. It could also be that my brain is too gay *cough*)

    The Call of the Wild by Jack London... I read it and watched the movie. A really good one.

    The very first web novel that made me cry (and made me discover NU) was Love in Another Life: My Gentle Tyrant 《再生缘： 我的温柔暴君》 (I would link to the NU page, but I'm a new user so sorry :p). Especially the first few chapters, which were beautifully written by catharcity.

    I'm a huge sucker for angst and tragedy novels.
