Question Novelsaga's TTNH

I've be really interested in reading Transcending the Nine Heavens, but I found out that the chapters after 300+ are translated by Novelsaga, who don't really have a good reputation for good translations. Does the story get worse due to the translations, or is TTNH still enjoyable?

 

It is still enjoyable, the quality is a little bit less....
But it's still a good story.

There's a clear drop in quality, I don't know how it is now since I've dropped it since then but the early chapters were horrible.

Imo It actually depends on how stringent you are on quality, if you are one of those few people who care about it a lot like me, then just prepare for the worst.

It's relative, for this particular novel I just couldn't tolerate this level of translation (and for some reason I just can't endure the translations of NovelSaga, albeit liking some of the novels they translate), and for some other novels we can just read even in MTL without being that bothered.

Your thread was pretty enjoyable TTNH was my favorite novel when it was done by the first translator (I think nightblade translations??, I forgot his translation name since he has left the translation work). Then it was picked up by other translators who MTL'd it, I read it for few chaps but dropped it after realizing the huge drop in quality.
I, once again - after reading your thread - looked at the NU TTNH index and saw that it was picked up by Qidian International, do you know if the same translators in NS are doing it or are there new translators?

 

Thanks lol, as for the translator it is still done by the NS team. You can check by clicking on the latest chapter, the translator and editor's team / name will be placed above the chapter.

I don't know if it is still the same TLer or if they got a new one but until now I still hear some bits of complains towards the quality so..

 

It has quite a bit of witty remarks and I don't think a machine translation will do it any justice. I will just leave it, unless a really good translator comes and redo the previous translations, which I am pretty sure is near impossible now.

 

Yep lol. I'm not even hoping for the translation anymore, I'm waiting for my chinese to reach proficiency.
