[NSFW][REC] The Gamer chyoa , A fanfic based on the manhwa over 3.5M words and counting

Before anything you should know that this story is NSFW and it has some adult elements in it, It shares the basis of the gamer story but it's set in its own universe with it's own characters,organizations and lore. here's a little summery:
"Inspired by the Manhwa concept, 'The Gamer' explores what your typical, 18 year old gaming nerd might do when he suddenly manifests magical abilities that turn him into a video game character in the real world. It's not all fun and 'games' however, as John Newman is thrown head first into the dangerous magical world hiding around him. Discover and read through about a dozen different possible narratives with reoccurring themes and characters as John simultaneously both struggles to adjust to his new life... and keep from losing it. Mature readers only."

starting chapters are short and are choppy in quality but it gets much better very quickly

Most of the authors recommend that you start with the original path(TheDespaxas) as it introduces a wide array of characters and forms the basis of the world, most authors tend to focus on certain characters or organizations while this one casts a "wider net". It does that a little while before the main focus to "kick in" and it's a less focused on the MC becoming powerful, it's still a fantastic read tho.

My personal recommendation is to start with Funatic's path, it's the longest so far(1.4M)And has lots of dungeon diving and threat escalation,The author posts a new chapter 5 times a week. I won't say more in order to not spoil too much.

Every branch MC has their own powerset and goals, so let me know if you're searching for something specific like kingdom-building ,a warrior/hunter/gunslinger MC, an evil MC, or even a branch that has Lovecraftian influences.

There are 10 other branches and frankly they are all fantastic, The original author(TheDespaxas) checks every new author that wants to write a new branch himself, It's a very thorough process that sometimes takes months to complete. So while there are different authors the level of the writing is very high, and the characters and organizations are persistent throughout the branches.

Lastly, there's a discord server where the authors hang out, There's character art in there as well, if you want an invite just follow the instructions in the bottom of the first chapter, There are no open invite links but if you want one PM me and I'll try to get you one.(I know there's a rule against advertising but I guess this is a little different)

No, it's not. the beginning is just bad, it takes a while for the plot to kick in especially in TheDespaxas's branch of the story.
Plot will always come before the smut and this is true across all branches, there are even certain branches with very few(3-4) sex scenes.
