Is using Patreon for advanced chapters better or using the coins system where viewers can read advanced chapters by either buying the coins or logging in?
    Please help.

I think Patreon is a bit daunting because many people are surprised that they need to get like 50$ sub to read far ahead while coins are pay for exactly for you want to read which is better imo.

I don’t like patreon since it has the tier system and some overprice the tiers. Shura’s Wraith was an example.

I don’t mind coins as long as it accepts stuff other than PayPal.

I personally prefer coins because it's a one off purchase vs a subscription.

Personally, I'm a fan of the coin system for a few reasons:
    1. First of all, if you miss an advance chapter post for whatever reason, it feels like a waste for those that bought a subscription on something like Patreon, as that subscription is for a limited time. Every day missed is money wasted for them, even if you do a mass release to make up for it later.
    2. With a coin system, it's much easier for someone to read with the public release rate, hit a bad cliff hanger, then just purchase the chapters until they get past the cliffhanger/catch up with the last released advanced chapter. You could do that with Patreon, but the issue is that, if you buy it on the 27th of the month, you're paying for a whole month of usage, but actually only get those advanced privileges until the end of that month, then you have to buy it again.
    3. With a coin system, your readers have the option of "stockpiling" their purchased coins to use at a later date, and can use it on multiple translations. (Of course, you can set an expiry date for this coin system, so they can't keep them forever).

Hope my viewpoints and thoughts assist you in making a decision you can be happy with. Cheers.

I think I'll go with the coin system, thanks.
But what else can you use apart from PayPal? Are you referring to Stripe?

And is there a plugin that helps with the coin system or do I have to find a developer?

I can't help you with that sadly. There are several groups that use a coin system, like Active Translations, so you could try reaching out to them and ask them how to get started, or continue researching on your own.
A good option for if you want to get started right away is to create a Patreon for now, and later, once you get the coin system figured out, you can turn off the Patreon system, and switch over to the coin option.

Ok, thank you for your help, but do you think it's possible that they would be willing to help if I reach out to them?

You won't know until you try. Worse that can happen is they say no.

We at Zetro Translation are doing that. Are you planning to build your own site or just TL?

Heyo if possible could I also be added into the chat? I also want to know the details of the coin system up and I feel like just reading y’all messages would save both of us the time from doing everything again.

if @JessImi is also alright with that of course :blobxd:

I'm shamefully bringing the thread back
Is there a guide posted somewhere? (*/益\*)
Since I saw multiple sites are starting to implement this system
