    Hi,

    I'm a translator and I want to create tiers on patreon with advaced chapters for my patrons.
    How do I go about the advanced chapters?

    Thanks

    I think there's two options:
    • Post them on Patreon, Patreon posts allow for different levels of access;
    • Patreon API if you want to integrate the advance chapters into your own site. More convenient in the long run, you can configure it all and post to one place only, but you'll have to known a thing or two about web dev. Well, depends on what language and platform your site is built on.

    - About the patreon posts, would I have to post the same chapters a few times so that different tiers can read the chapters?
    - the second option sounds cool, but its way over m head xD

    Just find a friend with the skillset. When that's not available, lots of online options

    You can post a chapter and have e.g. all 5+ dollar patreons access the chapter. You can also probably change the the required tier to access the chapter. All in all it's a bit more clickwork, more maintenance, but way easier if you don't want to get into any techy stuff.

    You can also look for third-party packages that implement the connection between your site and Patreon. For example if you're on Wordpress, there's probably a plugin for exactly that.
    If you want an example of how it can be done, look at Liberspark/Veratales, they have an implementation of advance access for patreons on their own site.

    I would be a little careful with letting a complete rando online write any code for a site. Especially if you aren't able to check what the rando wrote.

    How do I keep track of the chapters for the different tiers?

    What do you mean, how to keep track? You'll have to do it all yourself, I think. That's why a solution through the API can be so attractive.

    This. Use the Patreon plugin for Wordpress if you use WP. The chapters can integrate seamlessly in your site without users hopping around.
