MC is a transmigrator who thinks he transmigrated in adulthood at the start of the novel, but actually (spoiler). His body's blood family looks like it's going to be dog blood at first, but turns out to be pretty heartwarming, as much as that's possible given royalty. Romance isn't the focus of the story so much as empire building is, but it's sort of still there, even if the ML is a bit of in the background at times. A couple spots of nationalistic / anti-foreign sentiments from the MC here and there, but doesn't spoil the overall narrative and worldbuilding. MC has a more mature personality than many of the other MC's by this author, but maintains the consistent quirk of often having odd brainwaves/flights of fancy and the ability to derail conversations/situations into completely different topics.
