dont worry there are many of us, im sad since he cursed his fate because he claimed people of high stature back in his past life are dicks for not giving him a chance, turns out he is also a dick
Well someone made a review on its NU page to not expect on good plot development aside from male fantasies or something
anyway i hope perfect superstar doesnt go IRAS infiniteloop (new field = shock people = offend rich kid = scolding = repeaat) or asshat im in hollywood
there already thread of this http://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/perfect-superstar.32831/ from the summary i guess only in entertainment circle ( singing, acting, and writing) since MC move base on his "dream" which is pseudo alternate reality/life but zhang ye recent antics is so sad tho in lnmtl.. Spoiler: zhang ye loveable moment Spoiler: still not translated in wuxia only in lnmtl 1. king of mask singer 2. i am a singer 3. zhang ye wedding arc 4. recent chapter of zhang ye
That's why I stopped reading reviews before starting a novel, ugh. Sure, it's a wish-fulfillment type of read, and the MC is a calculative asshole for the most part, but the showbiz part is one of the best in any novel I've read so far, so no I wouldn't say it only appeal to guys, at least I enjoyed it. Not as much as I enjoy reading God of Music or God of Cooking (man I just love how those Korean novels are written), but I enjoyed it.
blackmail was never used for sex. She just thought it was. She thought he wanted sex in exchange, but he didn't, it just developed that way. Granted he didn't stop her, but then again i dont see why he would since i assume he didn't think that she believed all he wanted was sex. If he thought that she believed this i should say he'd likely tell her the truth. dont listen to those people, read my above reply. Thats what happened. The only thing you can say about the guy is that he's the type who won't turn down sex if there's no reason to. Sex isn't a big matter to him, just pleasure. So go ahead and read it, it's pretty good and the author has a great understanding of the characters and their lives during that time.
Me too, i stopped reading review. Like unless there is a rape or netorare tag i wont read them. Cuz people don't really give all that accurate reviews. Some do, some leave you with vague assertions that can end up being not nearly as bad as you thought. I mean details are appreciated.
Oh the review on Perfect Superstar says that he only loves one person Nah I'm In Hollywood is not really bad, I'm just skipping those scenes whenever I read it. And also since you like GOM and GOC try reading Top Management too
its not really blackmail, its more coercion. (blackmail means he's got something on the other person [like evidence that they are guilty] and coercion is getting someone to do something they dont want to do in return for something they really want)
Yeah my bad, it's true that there is a nuance. He didn't force her to anything, she could have walked away but it damn sure feel like psychological blackmail in some way. At least for me ^^
Personally I like this novel better than IRAS. There's no Zhang Ye and his cuss in PS, that's the main reason.
Same, only wish the releases were faster... But just have to appreciate what the translator gives you. The main char. is nothing like Zhang Ye. But that's based on the first 7 chapters. Quick overview on what happened first 7 chaps. Spoiler He doesn't really care about being famous, he works to get by and sends some to his parents and sister who live away from him. At first he appears really hard working trying to get by, works at KFC at the daytime and a waiter/singer at a bar in the evening. He tends to focus on how to get some more money to survive and help out his family. He then experiences a dream like state causing him to live three different lives one night noticeably increasing his singing and guitar skills. He also writes two original songs due to the dream like state. (Author uses already existing songs so you can listen to them if you wanted to just youtube it.) Gets offered a contract but with horrible conditions as a new talent contract and declines since it'll decrease the amount of income. Really worth a read, just hope more people start reading the series.
Wow, I was fooled by the hype and pretty reviews. This is a very poor version of IRAS. Not that one can tell unless you read the raws. IRAS main character was lovable in a flawed way, he just wanted to be famous. Perfect Superstar´s main character just want to make money to repay a debt. With the alternate reality +10 years perspective he actually has no need to enter show-biz, so many other ways to become a billionaire exist. The MC´s motivation just doesn't cut it as a driving force for the story.
