Petition to Ban Qidian Pick Up Requests

What do you all think? I think it is counterproductive to have pick up requests for their novels as only those who are ignorant/new to the community/ or simply masochists will translate their novels without permission
Given that Qidian owns a 50% stake in JJWXC, I wonder if we will have to consider in the future if we should ban those too.

I say, no to the ban. Besides, I feel like most BL comes from Jjwxc. QI does not translate BL. If you ban Jjwxc petitions, you ban most of my reading list. And I do not like to MTL. It hurts my brain way too much.

You misunderstood.
I didn't say ban JJWXC but Qidian novels.
I am just pointing out that since they have a stake in JJWXC just like Munpia, getting a C&D for translating BL isn't so far fetched

 

its not like 99% on novels on pick up request on qi wont be translated by anybody else.
even if qi would say "we not gona translate this somebody can pick it up"

I spoke to them and even offered to translate for free and was rejected. They don't want anyone translating their novels

Well, I was making a joke. Sort of. My mother was an English professor. My aunt had a job related to grammar at one point. My uncle also cares about grammar. My grandfather proofread scripts for Hollywood as well as being a film critic, and instilled a deep care for grammar in my mom and her siblings.
