The Piñata Game, where you hit @justabot and have the chance to get any Pokemon from a generation. When someone completed a generation of Pokemon, they had the chance to get a medal, completing more generations upgraded the medal. I'm usually the one updating the medals, however I've been busy and offline for the past 2 years so it's been stagnant. So I decided to revamp the old one's and making the newer generation medals! But since you- the happy !hitters of NUForums are the ones working to complete those medals, either for getting the accomplishment of you just enjoy hitting @justabot in your spare time, have the chance to give input on the revamped, and brand new spanking Medals of the Piñata Game! For comparison here is the medals we have now: Spoiler: 1st-3rd Gen 64x64 1st Gen: 2nd Gen: 3rd Gen: These are the medals that are expected to be shown when you have completed a generation, and the type of Poke-Ball they are, in order; Poke-Ball, G.S Ball and Dive Ball respectively. Now these are the prototype Medals I've made, following a similar theme of using Poke-Balls: Spoiler: Prototype 64x64 Gen 1 Examples: {} {} {} Gen 2-5 Examples: {} {} {} {} Gen 3 specifically: {} Extras?: {} This is the few of the medals you will get when you're on your profile page. This is the view you'll get when you're on a thread: Spoiler: 24x24 {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} These revamped versions are just prototypes and are bound to change. What do you think the medal should be? Just a Poke-ball? or perhaps add a Pokemon to it? Or maybe just have a Pokemon feature as a medal? It's whole body or just a face? Or perhaps a landmark of the generation's featured region? Just the starter Pokemon for each Gen? If you like the old style of the old medal then what new type of poke-balls should feature? These are hypothetical questions you don't have to answer, but suggestions are very welcome here! Spoiler: Notes Okay I got this new laptop which has only a few of my old files on it, not including my old work of the medals, so thanks to @Tony for giving me a quick link to the pictures while I was making this thread. I do like the style of the old Poke-balls but dislike how it was so random. Even though the Dive Ball is quite pretty imo. I had a lot of fun making the Mew as well. I am much more busy nowadays and can't dedicate as much time to the forums as I used to but that'll hopefully change in 5 months. Can probably do this in short bursts, but will most probably get it all done within a month if it all goes well. Note v2: While Pokemon is owned by The Pokemon Company, these have all been made by I, @OverlyFriendly
I really want to vote for both region pixelart and legendary pokemon medals... Also the dive ball is really pretty so maybe we can have the pokeballs as secrets with some super rare, weird conditions to unlock
Also I would want to make a request for a bot that plays pinata with me coz pinata tends to be inactive and there is no way to play it alone. @Tony @OverlyFriendly
Maybe a timer before repeaters can !hit the bot again? An certain amount of time before a player can double hit?
Yeah that would be good too, only problen being the person is guaranteed a pokemon then. A bot or something else wont let the person ein by default.
Again that would depend on @Tony. When the medal system was first put in place, we didn't want any clutter, but I also wanted a way to encourage users to keep on !hitting without making the prize too ludicrous, or too easy. Generations are nice benchmarks and I proposed the idea of upgrading medals which Tony agreed to when someone got all the pokemon of a generation, a new one would be added and so would a medal. But I quickly became busy and the medals stopped after the Dive Ball. Not sure if the cluttering is still a problem. Haven't seen the medal list in awhile.. Perhaps have game category's of medals in a different section, or under something similar to a spoiler tag? Free's up some clutter and perhaps allow more secret medals to be gained. Unless a policy has changed..? >_> While perhaps an idea, it's possible to only get 'Mega Pokemon' if you have it's previous form. And when you get all Mega's you get a secret Medal..? who knows. For the pixel art landscape, I am decent but no professional. I'll have to do a test run and see if it's up to snuff. or everyone can be satisfied with just decent pixel art.
Pokemon Emerald of gen 3. hm Another idea is to do the avatar, or 'player' character for the medals. more ideas or do them biking....
I don't mind. I'm pretty chill about it~ That's a really interesting idea :0 even if it doesn't be made into a medal it would be cool to sketch out
So what if you choose the pokeball colors off of the theme of that season? Like gen 1 primary colors. Black and White, Black and White. Whatever pokemon(s) fit well from that generation.
The game needs more hitters. :/ Oh yeah, @Rakiin still need the medal for the 4th gen : https://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/pokémon-piñata-club.18501/page-130#post-4547609
Would very like to know @Rakiin's opinion about it since hes the one actually going to get a new medal
I don't really play the pinata, but I ought to say this one was my favorite by a large margin. Putting the Mythical Pokemon of each gen in the pokeball would be a really fun way of going about it IMO~
