If Misty and May were sisters of Ash and both have good relations with him, who would Ash choose to give his thunder pokemon - Pikachu - to if they both asked him. What sort of development would happen? Can you guys help?
also, for the premises, Ash is in his late 20s and has given up being a pokemon trainer to pursue an actual job. Misty and May are both 10 year olds and are just starting out but the friendships that occurs in anime happens here in this case.
that's true, but i feel that May and Ash are closer than Misty and Ash. However, you are right since Ash treats Pikachu as his best friend. He can't possibly give Pikachu to someone that Pikachu doesn't have much of a connection with can he?
Pikachu isn't a combat pokemon though, both could just cuddle it. But in a water gym based group fight, pikachu would hurt his allies. So it'd depend on why they want him. What are their goals, as a trainer etc. Beauty contest? surfing with pikachu? I guess in the end he wouldn't give him to anyone but let him choose who to go with. Ending up with alternating with whoever has something fun to do. p.s. instead of giving him away, make it so it revolves around pikachu babysitting the lolis lol. - they try to capture pokemon and he sneakily follows and stuns one for them - he fights off team rocket - dresses up like other pokemon to not be seen.

The friendship that occurs in the anime are with them having similar ages and are not related to each other. The dynamic now is different given the changes you made. So the answer now depends on their new backstories, which might mean these characters are Ash, Misty and May in name only. They are pretty much original characters that just have the same name as the characters from the anime. Though, if you insist on making them the anime character even if it conflicts with the concept; given that Misty (of the anime) prefer water type pokemons, she probably wouldn't ask at all and instead would have asked for a water type pokemon; and May would not be a good fit for Pikachu given that she isn't into pokemon battling. So, Ash might not give Pikachu to any of them. Well, I think the concept needs more work. It just doesn't make sense in some ways.
so, instead of that premises, we use the one where they are around the same age but Ash decides to pursure another career. Then, who will Ash give pikachu to, given Ash's relations with Misty and May?
He would give it to brock....(seriously way better then handing pikachu to may or misty) And if misty is his sister, then so are misty' sisters his sister. Which implies ash can give pikachu to them too if we are gonna stick to giving to sisters......
hadn't thought of that. But then again, given the relations with pikachu and the girls, he might just go.
You know, this reminds me of the theory that pikachu isn't even the pikachu Ash started off with. But anyways, if we go by the manga, yellow gets the pikachu. Have you read pokemon adventures? I went to Costco's and bought the first 4 volumes, something like 30 books, for $140 I thought I would regret it, but thankfully I dont.
Aye, but when the sun sends out its CMEs and we lose electrical power for 10 years, I can use all of my pokemon cards and read the manga whenever I please.
