Looking at the first cards, Michael sees that it's a 4, 7, and an 8. Looking at his own cards, he sees that he has a 4 and 8. Looking around to see 2 of the other players there, he can see some nervousness in their eyes.

It seems that being in the top 6 for them is quite taxing on their minds. I bet those two will be the first ones out. Thinking this, Michael puts in some chips along with some of the others on the table to see the next card the dealer throws out. Seeing that it's an 2, he is displeased but doesn't show it.

I don't care much who wins 1st place, however, I don't want Mr. Longroe to beat me, that pig. Making sure to maintain a poker face so nobody can read him, he remains silent as he contemplates his thoughts.

Looking to his side, he sees Mr. Longroe looking more sobered up compared to before, not showing as many emotions at the last match. It seems he made Lady Symor do some vile 'things' to help sober him up some. I better be careful during this match. I just need to make sure to beat him! Preparing himself, he thinks about the fate Mr. Longroe will surely have after today.

This guy seems a bit...like one with bad intentions towards Mister Longroe, Though It's my policy to not get involved in feuds of people so I did not care. I look at my cards and saw that it was better than the two with nervous eyes that screamed that they were going to fold soon. So I waited patiently, Idly commenting "My, This wine is tasty."

"Yes, it's quite delicious Mr. Rothchild. Maybe we can find out the brand afterward and buy some." Interacting with him, Michael looks towards the two people shaking with their hands. Hmm, it seems like they're going to fold soon. I wonder how those two won when they clearly get nervous too easily.

Keeping a poker face, he focuses on the cards in the middle of the table. Seeing the dealer about to put another card out, he puts out some more chips. Looking towards Mr. Byrne, he can see a confident face on him.

Oh? He's quite confident. It seems like he's more skilled at poker then I am. Looking behind him, he smiles in the direction of Lady Symor and goes back to playing the game.

"Quite so, I'll be purchasing a bottle after this tournament is over." I glanced over at the two who's hands were shaking a bit, It seemed being at the same table as Mr. Longroe has impacted their confidence significantly, since it was cause downfall to themselves if they win over him because of soured relations.

I put the minimum amount of chips in to the pot and watched on in interest.

Seeing Leon place what looked like a mental enhancement gum into his mouth, Serena smiled knowingly, before observing the rest of the players.

Noticing that Leon and Michael were chatting whilst playing and Adriyel was completely confident in his manner, she looked to Mr Longroe and saw determination in his eyes as his oppressive aura made the two other players quiver in fear. Seeing Mr Longroe win that round, one of the fearful players buckled and left the game, obviously too scared of offending Mr Longroe who was a huge investor in their company.

"I'm going to have a light chat with one of the players, I'll be back shortly~" Serena stroked Gerard's hand before walking towards Leon, her hips swaying alluringly.

Upon reaching him, she rested a hand delicately on his shoulder, before saying:
"My, such an interesting style of playing, Mr Rothchild~ Why, if I didn't know better, I'd say you've managed to steel yourself up and decided to go for the top 3 prizes~" She lightly stroked his shoulder, before leaning in close to his ear; a soft whisper passing her lips brushing against him teasingly:
"I'd be careful though, Mr Rothchild. Although others may not have seen what exactly you thrust into your mouth, I'm afraid I share a close relationship with the man who developed that product. It should be known, Mr Rothchild, that the use of such drugs is against the rules of this casino, but..." She lightly caressed his cheek in a subtle fashion, ensuring no one else saw what she did before continuing, "...I can make an exception, this time~ After all, we wouldn't want the casino to misplace the money used to bet on the top 3 now, would we~?" She stood up straight, the seductive smile having never left her face the whole time she spoke.
"I'd be more careful in the future, Mr Rothchild. Everyone has secrets they don't want people knowing; sometimes unfortunate things happen to those whose secrets have been revealed~ And I just so happen to love big...fat...juicy...secrets the most~"

She walked away from Mr Rothchild and went to Mr Longroe; sliding both of her hands on his shoulders, resting her head on his with her mounds firmly pressed against his back.
"Oh, it seems you've won this round, Mr Longroe~! Your skills with your hands are exceptional~"
"Mmnh. Why thank you, Lady Symor. I believe you are my own personal Lady Luck this afternoon~" He stroked her hand before looking at Michael.
Giggling at his words seductively, she released herself from him and stood by his side.
"Surely you jest, Mr Longroe~! This game is one that requires skill and intelligence, to which no amount of luck can influence. This was all down to your...'talents'~" She surreptitiously looked between his legs, licking her lips suggestively before continuing, "I look forward to seeing how far your 'talent' can take you~" She stroked his arm subtly before returning to Gerard's side.

Seeing that the first round was over, Gerard announced:
"The first match goes to Mr Longroe! Mr Sarlund quits the game, giving him 6th place! Let the next match begin!"

The banker collects the cards from the previous round, shuffles and then deals them out once again.

Darn it, I just like the flavor of the gum and it was just mint flavor, which research says boosts mental strength and clarity! Darn that mint gum, I'll never live down false cheating! is what I would have thought, If in fact, It did nothing since it was a scam on the rich! though it did have an interesting flavor. Gah! I forgot the real effect of 5-gum, was to make yourself more impulsive!

Well good thing she'll not reveal that I actually chewed the gum, It'll make me look like a prick If I took a Dumbness Gum to make myself lose since It'll show that I'm arrogant and believed I'll win otherwise. A bit of a dull block got into my mind, It's effects seem to be working and I was ready to fold after one turn next round!

I was impressed that she was able to spot the gum I had begun chewing was that of a mental affecting---changing---stuff kind, It's something that I would think make a very smart person, because they can use whatever information they get to their advantage.

I chewed on my lip a bit, At least she will have a bigger connection with me from now on I hope, I really wonder what was in that pizza that... and so leon began narrating himself, because it was the best thing to do after chewing 5-gum.

'Hoho? A 7 of hearts, and an 8 of spades? Not bad.' A smirk threatened to tug at Adriyel's face but was shut down as he turned towards his opponents with a bit of a frown, as he looked at Mr. Longroe, 'Such a disgusting piece of trash, my favorite to tear down and shred them into pieces. He is a coward as well, easiest to break.'

'That Sarlund and whatever his name is, both play like cowards, they'll be the first to fall, but the person to gain fourth doesn't seem to be that Mr. Longroe, no I believe Mr. Rothschild is forfeit, afterall he didn't bet on him entering the top three and he's rich enough to afford the prizes of the top two. So my real competition turns out to be a disgusting pig, and someone who rose from the ashes? Interesting, this will be fun.' As he examined his true opponents curiously, trying to decipher their intentions and read their thoughts.

Feeling himself being looked at, he looks towards to Mr. Byrne who looks like he's trying to unravel him. It seems like he's trying to read us, how interesting. However, I just need to make sure I get into the top 3 and surpass Mr. Longroe. Otherwise, I won't feel satisfied. Keeping a poker face, he looks at his cards and sees he has a 7 of hearts and 6 of spades.

It seems like this match will be more interesting then I thought, given my opponents. It's most likely Mr. Byrne will be coming with me to the top 3. Wanting to do it without any ill intent and just for fun, he puts some chips in for the next hand. Well, if I don't get first place, it might also be just as good if Mr. Byrne got it. After all, I can just buy more flying cars and pay to be a VIP.

Leon looked at them not really interested, as he watched the last person before him start to fold and he did gloriously. I awaited my turn to fold, though with a bit more passiveness than I thought, making it look like I was a background character that nobody paid attention to and that was fine by me.

That's when I remembered that I should most likely get another drink, says I, as I switch prospectives once again as leon ate a club sandwich that was handed to him, of course, Leon made sure to give the serving person a generous tip of 100 credits for the 10 credits sandwich.

Leon then thought about how almost everything here, or actually, everything here was overpriced, 10 credits for a small sandwich?! at least it was filling, and it good ingredients, makes you wonder what the 50, 100, 200, and 1000 credit sandwiches taste like.

and so, leon became impatient to try to sandwiches after the game was over, though it would make more sense to go to a place that specialized in making sandwiches.

Seems like there's only 4 of us left, huh. Leon looks like he's going to quit any second now. Putting some chips in and revealing his hand, Michael wins the round with Leon leaving afterwards. Seeing that it's only Mr. Byrne, Mr. Longroe and himself still there, he readies his next hand.

I just got to make sure to beat Mr. Longroe! Concentrate...

Thinking this to himself, he finds his next cards and his state of mind becomes excited while maintaining a poker face. This will work! Say hello to 3rd place soon, Mr. Longroe.

"Why, isn't this a fun game. Isn't it?" Adriyel said in an amused tone as he looked at his opponents, as he took his next pair of cards with a grin, 'Six of diamonds and a 9 of spades, eh.' as he put his cards back down he motioned for one of the waitresses to come over and whispered into her ear, "Bring me some wine, will you?" The waitress carefully nodded as she went away, 'It's about time I mess around, hmm?'

"Mr. Longroe, you haven't told us much about yourself, I do believe? Would you perhaps excuse this ignorant one in his lack of knowledge and inform me?" Adriyel looked at Mr. Longroe with a sincere smile as he spoke these sweet words.

[Early Evening]

Having been asked a question with the expected decorum of a person from high-society, Mr Longroe looked up from his cards and examined the gentleman opposite him. Seeing he was a handsome man who bore the air of an emperor, he knew that he shouldn't look down on him as he did Michael. Smiling congenially at him, Mr Longroe answered:
"Why, that's no problem at all Mr Bryne. One can't expect to know everyone in high-society, hahaha!" He put on an amenable air as he raised the wager by 30,000 credits, before continuing, "I deal with stocks and investing in companies and their businesses. Why, I've helped invest in quite a few companies such as Dinenko Media Unlimited, and the Camua corporation - just to name a few. Why, that's part of the reason why I was invited here, Mr Byrne; on account of my huge investments in many establishments of the Diamond District." He took a sip of wine, careful not to gulp it down like at The Black Lagoon.

Seeing that two more players had dropped out, including Leon, Serena sat in an empty seat next to Adriyel, brushing her leg against his suggestively before asking:
"You don't mind if I watch the rest of the competition here, do you Mr Byrne~?" She subtly curved her leg, wrapping it around his and stroking it suggestively. She then continued by saying:
"You all seem to be relaxed enough, if you're having pleasant conversations with one another~ Since there are only 3 of you left, what say we introduce some more rules to this game~?" She smiled seductively, looking in the eye of every remaining player, before licking her lips enticingly and continuing, "Since this is a high stakes game, you can only raise the bet no lower than 50,000 credits - 10% of which will go towards this establishment. If you fold, you must pay out 10% of the current pool as forfeit, again this will go towards the establishment. On the other hand, if you win a match, none of the winnings will go towards the establishment~" She slipped her hand subtly under the table and lightly brushed against Adriyel's leg before removing it and resting it on her lap.
"I do hope these new rules will make the game more fun~"
She smiled sweetly, yet alluringly as she eyed Michael, then Mr Longroe, eager to see how they'd react.

"Haha, you're quite magnanimous Mr. Longroe, you say that you invest in Dinenko Media Unlimited? And the Camua Corporation, truly as expected, you're a man of a high caliber!" Adriyel continued to flatter the man with a calmly smile as he replied to him, carefully picking every word, making sure not to offend, nor release any information.

As he grabbed a wine glass and took a sip he opened his eyes wide in surprise as he looked at Mr. Longroe, "My, this is quite a nice wine, don't you think Mr. Longroe? It's quite high-quality, I don't suppose you know where it's from?" Curiously he looked at Mr. Longroe with a inquisitive look, but soon looked towards the approaching woman, Lady Symor, as he smiled. "Of course, if Lady Symor wishes to rest here, who am I to deny?" He let out a laugh as he watched her sit down, and stroke his leg.

"Oh my, the game will indeed be quite fun, don't you think so, Mr. Longroe, and Mr. Valstead? How about I go first, I shall raise by 50,000. A fun raise, just to make it more fun." As a chuckle escaped from his lips he pushed over his chips in a non-chalant manner before sitting back down and placed his hand on the thigh of the woman next to him.

It seems the effects of the gum are wearing off, I'm no longer referring to myself as leon in my head so that's a good sign. But this burger....and the table I'm sitting at seems to be a place that could observe the poker game. I looked at the burger and winced a bit, It easily had half my daily calories in it but it had Bison, Quail, and Wild Venison mixed into a very delicious burger.

There were also fresh onions, lettuce, cucumber, along with a fresh layer of truffle sauce, and premium ketchup. On the side was a healthy soda, indeed, for 100 credits they will sell you a soda that is healthy. I sighed and ate n drank silently watching the tournament.

Seeing Alexandra leaving for somewhere, Maicer grabbed her and took her on the mission for the Agency he signed up for. Why would he take a Medic for a mission they had almost no use for you might be asking yourselves, well its simply because he cares for his sister, that and she would beat him up other wise....

Having strapped into the SK - Bentley Concordat with Alexandra, Maicer started making his way towards the park Elias wanted to meet up at.
'Either he has started to take my words into consideration, or he had no one else to help him; either way it'll be an interesting day' Maicer thought to himself as he drove faster along the road, reaching speeds fast enough to make a sane man piss his pants.

'I wonder though... does Elias see this as him grasping the Devil's hand?' thinking such things he got close to his turn for the Silver District...

Elias felt like he was waiting at a cross-roads to make a deal with the devil the longer he stood observing the park. His mind was racing thinking if there was anything else he could have done. The silence was doing no good for his paranoia so he began to look at the park with an artistic eye to calm his mind down, when he spotted a Vehicle turn into the park that did not belong.

*That's got to be him.* Elias mentallly prepared himself for the game that would likely play out between them. He was still concerned about this mission not having enough benefits to justify Malicers time. Which meant that he would look for benefits directly from Elias. The Artist steadied his nerves, breathing deep before flaging down the expensive vehicle. Waving his arms to show his postion to his dangerous new partner.

 

[District 8 - Silver District] - [Urban Park]

"That must be our young artist, wait here for a second Alex" Maicer said as he got out of his car and started walking towards the young man waving him down.
'He seems nervous, how adorable' he thought to himself while walking, 'Didn't I tell him to think of this as only an investment? Besides its seems we're limited to only the schools funds, or else I'd have no problem dropping over 50k on this event'

Arriving in front of Elias, Maicer smiles and says "I would like to say what a coincidence but we both know that'd be a lie"
"So what can I do for you Mr. Elias?" he asked with that calm smile on his face

Elias squared his shoulders and looked at the man in front of him. You should know already, The Agency sent out a mission, I needed the money, but the Agency wouldn't allow me to sign up for it alone. So I called you thinking your name might bring some legitimacy to the project considering my other connections."

Elias shrugged looking away back towards the car, "Who did you bring with you? Your sister? I heard from somewhere she was sort of a shut-in. I hope she can help, and it isn't just some form of sentimentality that caused you to bring her along. This first project means a lot to me, and I don't want to deal with dead-weight."

Elias turned back to his conversation partner. "Besides that, here are the mission requirements so there is no confusion Mr. Malicer." Elias showed the shaggy man the mission details on his phone. Taking it back he asked with a grin. "Do you like working with Madam Q? She can be... particular."

 

[District 8 - Silver District] - [Urban Park]

"No time for small talk?" Maicer asked with his calm smile, "I was simply making a joke to lighten the mood, you're too tense Elias" he said as he found a nearby bench and sat down on it.

"My sister can handle herself, and will be able to raise awareness in places I can't" he said looking at Elias a little colder now, however a little colder to Maicer is enough to seemingly freeze a normal persons soul.

Loosening his tie, Maicer began to read through the mission requirements once again just to make sure he had the right idea about it.
"This mission is straight forward enough, and Madam Q? I haven't gone by there yet" he said lying to Elias slightly as technically 'Maicer' didn't go there, but 'Raven' did.

"It's true, it's quite expected due to a person of such high status, I'm jealous!" Saying this, he then looks towards Lady Symor. He gives her a very intense look that can send shivers down one's body, concealing it from Mr. Longroe so he doesn't get any bad impression.

Seems like she's trying to benefit from all parties. Well, since it's part of her 'job' to do so, I'll play along. After all, I remember being at the bottom of the barrel once. Whatever she got into, I'll help get her out of it one day.

"I shall raise by 50,000 credits as well. Also, Mr. Longroe, maybe afterward you can give me some tips on how to be as successful as you are. It would be quite beneficial to be taught by one such as yourself." Giving compliments without leaving any leeway to be used against him, he continues playing.
