They are actually more like sect leaders that are controlling their own resources like a Tyrant and forcing their disciples or future ones to work like slaves for the sect. Forcing them all to be outer disciples that have no say in shit.

Yes. As someone who majored in IB I know whenever your doing business in China, never settle for Chinese Juristictions. Its always best to suggest a third party like Singapore and have your lawyers look over the contract

 

I know. I heard rumors it pretty much all inhouse now to avoid spreading out publicly. you cannot deny the scene is much smaller then it could have been though.

I think they will lose anything but the 20 novels they worked out a deal on. That is why I think oral agreements are dumb. Should always have it in writing or at least in text messages. No digital or physical evidence is going to make it a pain for Wxw

Then there's if small time sites signed on with them, all TLs would be published on QI and they'd get paid by QI. No different from straight up joining. The alternatives, are buying "authorizations" like WW for several hundred thousand dollars or dropping.

I don't think it's about not having physical or digital evidence of the agreement, it is about not having anything signed.

 

It's a common occurence in China too. Companies like to throw their weight around and show off their wealth and power.

Hell, in the Global Corruption Index, China was rated as one of the most corrupt countries in the fucking world, because everybody throws their weight around and the law can't stop them.

 

well a oral agreement is legally binding in the US even without a signature. As long as you can prove they said what they said when you agree to something. Like when you hand over money at the grocery store to buy products that is actually also a oral agreement. You agree to buy it for money and those products are actually what you are paying for.

Why the hell do we even need copyright and permission? Their is Chinese and the one we reading are English. And I'm sure few to zero English existed in their novel. The only similar thing is how the characters name sounded and that's it.
Maybe we should start suing everyone out there using western names for their novels or just banned English in their country for good, maybe that'll make the world more peaceful. ( jk)
