Edit: This post is now solved but I can’t figure out how to flag it as such sorry!! Hi, I’m looking for a couple BL novels. I read them both a while back. (SOLVED: Holding Onto My Man) This one has an arc where the MC is a substitute for this guy’s white moonlight, but I don’t think the ML was the ogML. I believe MC played a certain instrument, maybe a wind one? The white moonlight and MC had similar eyes, and MC eventual replaced the spot in ogML’s heart where the white moonlight used to be, so the white moonlight and the substitute switched. After MC left and was with ML while ogML was with the OG white moonlight, ogML often gazed at ogWM and imagined it was MC, and one day ogWM dropped or broke the instrument MC used to play and ogML beat him up. (SOLVED: Born To Be Rebellious QT) The next one had a language barrier between MC and ML. The MC was sold by someone that sells rare treasures (he might have been a con-man though) and I think ML might have taken MC from the original “buyer” (then killed that person for hurting MC). The ML was someone like the emperor, and he installed a big water tank in his palace. Sometimes the MC becomes confused and on-guard towards ML and asks him something like “who are you/who am I?” so MC had some sort of mental trauma from previous life. Previously I had thought it was a mermaid arc, but now that I think deeper about it I think it was just MC that was a mer-person but I could be wrong… Thank you for reading
The second arc you mentioned seems like 'Holding on to my Man', except the MC doesn't fall in love with the og ML at all but the reincarnation of his lover in the previous arc. But the first arc is not a mermaid setting but martial arts. Hope this helps though.
