he talks about how he let the pendant drink the spring numerous times, and how it got upgraded from it. yes. Its been a while, but i seem to recall him talking to the pendant and telling it to basically pay up, for him letting it drink the spring. When his sister was stuck in the freezer with one eyed rats wandering around right outside the door. And it then helped push him through the beginner stage fire/lighting to intermediate.
Sometimes i can't help help but feel the title "Versatile Mage" is dumb as he is not really "Versatile". If you think about it the words means more in the sense that he is a jack-of-all-trade or can do lots of stuff with his magic but no, he is (to me or other readers) just a boring old "dual element mage"... I would prefer this kind of true title then try to mislead us for thinking MC is something that he is not. UNLESS everything is just because translator badly translated the title.
At this point MC has 4 elements. If that isn’t doesn’t qualify as “versatile” then idk what does because he can pretty much adapt to and deal with most situations at this point and he’s still just an intermediate mage.
Dont get the description of novel. It says mages only control 1 major element. Yet we know they can awaken more elements. Soooo besides having dual elements at start he same as everyone who can awaken other elements
He can OHKO, DoT, Escape and Tag Team/Team Battle. I think that should be Versatile enough. Or at least his Advanced version should be (6 elements, LOL) NEWS: He awakens 2 every time others awaken one. And he can even f××king choose one of the two that awakens(as seen with his lightning and shadow)
Eh he didnt pick lightning. And at for shadow he did use a crystal that increases the odds of it. But behind awakening more elementary the description of novel made it seem like other magicians couldn't awaken other elements
