Feature Request R-18 Forum

I propose an R-18 sub-forum. Before you shout down this idea, listen to my specific proposals, I believe I have a strong case.

1. This forum will be by default hidden, members cannot accidentally waltz in. The forum will only be visible to forum members.
2. To join the forum, a prospective member must PM a moderator or other staff member, who'll manually add them. (Not sure how user groups work in Xenforo, but this will be a user group.)
3. Only members who meet certain criteria are eligible e.g member for over a month, more than 100 messages, etc.
4. Only the birth date submitted during registration is allowed, members can't change their birth date to become eligible.
5. Closed r-18 threads may be migrated. (Provided OP is a member of the forum)
6. Give forum a cool name like "Red Light District"
7. Some topics and material will remain illegal even in the forum, what will be banned there is up to moderator discretion.
8. Any of the above proposals may be changed as moderators/staff see fit.

Advantages of this proposal:

1. It gives a home to all the perverts here, and provides a medium for r-18 discussion.
2. Currently all r-18 threads are closed down. This stifles discussion of one of the most important family of topics, and suppresses ingenuity and creativity
3. The community becomes more all encompassing, and we do not have to leave NUF to discuss about more sensitive topics.
4. This will increase member satisfaction, and augment community health. It will lead to a more vibrant community.
5. Prudes do not have to come across any objectionable content.
6. Reduces moderator work load in the long run. Creating the forum, and adding members may create more work in the short term, but in the long term, it will be less than checking for all r-18 threads, locking them, etc.
7. The ero talk does not end up disrupting other threads.

I'm for this Idea because it would remove part of perverts that are disrupting other threads. Definite improvement.

 

I already tried this idea once before, fam, didn't work. I wanted a place to just be as raunchy as I can be, a thread where anything goes, a thread where we can all let loose and do as we please....but my righteous idea came to a futile end.

What you propose, I thought of too, but toned it down to a mere thread. I thought to ask for a sub-forum too. Yet I knew it to be too awesome a concept for the mods and Tony to accept. In the end, I settled on a thread. But even that was ignored, for they cast the idea aside with a casual indifference like what a callous nobleman would show his mistress.

from Mod perspective........ too lazy to maintain~ yeah what a pain to make~ try to approve member...... have you ever think the way confirm it?~ by recommendation from MOD? meh just other thing can consume time already~
just make normal one with rules is enough~

you have my support, but if you want discuss r-18 themes, go to specific forum for that instead.

Seem to contradict:

• Reduces moderator work load.

Just sounds like a lot work for very little gain... and at least one mod have to do thru all the R-18

I support this proposal, but yeah i feel bad for the Mod if they have to approved the members that want to join one by one.

I think the mod have to make a new rule again for the pervert who want to make a R-18 discussion. (I'm not pervert i just like ero thing~)
Novel Update Forum is a place to discuss novels, Lol at first, well there are a lot of adult novel right now, but hey it's also Novels^^. So it's not wrong if we want to discuss it. and right now we have a place to discuss manga and anime, making a R-18 topic, it's not again the rule~. NO NSFW pic of course. :3
If the mod can make a new rule about it, i think it will really help to organized the thread and discussion.

For example rule like : " Any topic that discuss something about R-18 can't be place in general chat" . it's just example.
Well the topic in general chat is too broad, if there are R-18 thread that can be look there. Lol the gentlemans and ladys will be shy to look at the forum.
Lol let's make a new rule or place to separatly discuss it and Done.
There will be no complain again.

 

You guys seem to fail to understand.
Discussing Eros topics is part of the social experience, it's a necessary part of connecting. Sure I could go to an R-18 forum, but will I have the same members as on here?

Brethren, I see Eros talk as a means to connect, to understand the other person. It's a medium to fraternise. Questions like what their favourite Hentai/pornstars are, what are their fetishes, their most kinky fantasy, etc are all ways to get to know my fellow NUFers better. Will you begrudge a man the chance to have a heart to heart conversation with his comrades?

 

I don't think that it'll pass. Why? Go read the topic where someone asked for the possibility for users to upload content into private conversations. Tony said that he doesn't want for the possibility of illegal content to exist on the forum.

Beside that, if you'll look on Tony's profile, I've asked something similar. R18 content.. Is a bit hard to be implemented. There's already a lack of resources (time, money, i.e.) on NUF. Look, for example, at all that negative spam that exists.

Beside that, this is a private(?) forum, so there's no democracy - the owner decides the limits (with small exceptions).

And so on.
