    Guys I have a question for y'all, how many of your real life friends know about your Xianxia addiction? I know some of you will be like "Everyone, duh!" but not everyone is open about their hobbies and interests.

    So be honest and reply your position on this issue. In my case only my mom knows of it coz my other family and friends don't get the whole 'reading' thing. I didn't tell my parents about my love for anime/manga love until I was 17( I was into them since I was 13). Are you all in the closet right now about these topics?

    I'm not into xianxia...
    Then again not everyone around me really know what a lightnovel is...

    I don't particularly enjoy Xianxia. But the general answer to your question is "Everyone, duh!".

    My friends doesn't even know what xianxia means, all they know is that i read some chinese stuff translated to english, although they don't give a shit...

    In my country, it's not viewed as something weird or whatever so I'm quite open about this stuff, but I never spoke to anyone about xianxia because nobody knows what it is anyway. (At least, not in my circles of friends)

    Only my older brother. I'm not particularly secretive about my 'addiction' to xianxia, fictional stories in general, but other people are unaware.

    I feel your pain, no one around me even takes reading as a hobby. They tell me they don't understand how reading can be fun.

    yep I tried to bring my friends into it they were like *meh*.Then if their is adult stuff they show some reaction. Then most of my friends didn't even understand anything and they thought I was a bookworm .Everyone in my family expect mom thinks i am playing infront pc whenever i switch on it .my mom understands I am reading but doesn't exactly gets the idea .
    so far I am the only one in my locality that reads web novels haven't found anyone yet.

    I tried so hard
    And got so far
    But in the end
    It doesn't even matter
    no1 cares for xianxia/wuxia
    even though I have friends who should like it as they like bleach,dragon ball, the breaker... but just won't give it a try, it annoys the hell out of me I can't get them to try and talk to someone about it irl. The problem is reading, they will read manga with horrible art and little text but pure text nooooo....

    the thing that is known by my friends is that i'm into anime and japanese ln...as for the xianxia, i don't really talk much about it as no one really gets it and well i don't really have the time to read when i'm with my friends coz were busy winning the game...
