    I've read ISSTH up to 700 chapters and don't like where it's headed so wanting to drop. This is my first time reading a novel and now I feel like I have to read one novel and finish it to the end. Below are some I found popular or well rated based on online reviews:

    Against the Gods - This seems to be most popular although rating on this site is a bit low
    World of Cultivation - High reviews
    Grasping Evil - I hear this one is a hidden masterpiece
    Second Coming Gluttony

    Which one would you recommend? Or should I continue ISSTH? Heard ending is bad too.

    don't bother with ISSTH and definitely don't bother with ATG. ATG is trash.

    I didn't get far in WoC or Grasping Evil but they're at least better than the two I mentioned, from what other people have told me


    just to save you some trouble, avoid xianxia/xuanhuan...it's mostly garbage.

    From what I've read. WOC is definitely better than AGT. I also dropped ISSTH around chapter 630...So it's not a big deal..
    You can also try LOTM, I am The Monarch, Swallowed Star.

    I think it's perfectly fine to drop it. For me I drop a xianxia novel at bout c1000, take a break, and come back if I feel like it. I must say, reading a 2000 chapter xianxia is like watching 2000 episodes of Spongebob.
    I agree completely. I only read it cuz I don't have anything else.
    I would say to start with other genres first cuz they have less chapters so less commitment.
    If you really want some xianxia I would say a will eternal was pretty good.

    Yeah I'm looking for xianxia. I'm already watching the anime AWE and like it so don't want to read novel. And that was the reason I chose ISSTH from same author.

    out of the list i'd definetly go for Second coming of gluttony. The toon was great as well. As it's not so much wuxia here are some i'd recommend:
    Reverend Insanity: catch "gu", evil MC
    Renegade immortal: wuxia thats amazing

    Also i also abandoned ISSTH .. stupid perv parrot killed the fun -.-
