also, often its licensed from countey to country, like in germany almost every german dub/sub is licensed and thus illegal but english subs/dubs is free game and not licensed usually which means on most german streaming sites they host/link to other hosts for english and link to the licensed distributor for most german subs/dubs like e.g. crunchyroll or netflix etc.

soo, rip kissdotru but its not like there are no alternatives

Checking updates on Mangadex is super easy. Just “follow” the manga, and then press the follow button on the main page to see what’s been updated. (・ω・)ノ Mangadex even keeps track of what chapters you’ve read and will automatically update.

-redacted- is a pirate sites and they have a history of using users computer to mine cryptocurrency. Yeah crunchyroll is also shit but -redacted- is not the answer. IDK, maybe something better will come up to replace them.

-redacted- was bad, too many intrusive & pop-up ads and no adblockers allowed. Thank Tod almighty it's gone :blobparty:

Although -redactes- had implemented lots of shit method to dissuade watchers from watching anime , it was still the site I am most familiar with. Neeed to go back to encoders . BTW if you are into chinese anime then most of them are available on youtube and wetv app(official) and Mango tv app(official) for free and subbed with FHD resolution. As for Japanese anime- I usually use encoders for completed as well as ongoing anime.
    you can try those too.
    RIP KA, KM

Crap, with my mucking around I put 100+ manga first on follow and then manually changed them all to completed. Haah, gonna have to spend some time setting them all back... Thx for the tip tho! Much appreciated!

It is sad to see it go away, but I don't belive it is such a big blow as you say it is. Afterall There are multiple sites that also host those animes and mangas, tho it might need a bit more effort finding them now (if you only used -redacted-).
And if, I say if, the owner of the sites was smart he could have made a backup of the content, so he/she can make a new site in the future with everything still there. I don't know anything about this situation than what has been said here, so I can't realy say anything regarding this.

Lastly, I will miss you -redacted- even tho I did not use you caouse of all those anoying adds and popups I experienced when I first discovered you. Even with those horrible events happening, you where still a part of my begining in consuming illleagal content...

I dunno if I should laugh or cringe at the number of people who watch anime without an AdBlock on.

I'm with the vocal minority here to say the site sucked anyway. I didn't like it at all.

Once upon a time, years ago, it was decent. Not for a long time.

I also want to announce that I'm on the "*points at the launch of AniLog*" bandwagon. The timing is way too coincidental for this to be unrelated. They've clearly cut the competition their new channel has.

westy, aren't they dead, thus no longer an aggregator site? I think that the topic should not be redacted?

*shrug* I agree, but I didn't redact the site's name. I did redact some alternatives people have posted, for the usual reasons, but I did figure it was okay now to use the name of a dead site. But someone else didn't think so. Whatever.

There are two reasons we redact aggregators, you understand. The first is just out of respect for the translators that make this community possible. We don't want people advertising them as alternatives to the translators' own sites. The second is that aggregator discussion could have negative repercussions on NU with advertisers and whatnot. Even if it's shut down, I suppose either of those could still apply: advertising aggregators in general, even if this site no longer works, and that it may still cause us trouble.
