    I'm on chap 718. When the MC first turned down the corporation that hired the assassins to destroy his guild, he said that Aqua Snow (or whatever the fuck her name is) was thinking to shallow by being upset over her family's guild trying to muscle in on Stone Town. He said this precisely because he knew other corporations and guilds would want to take Stone Town as well.

    Then, after MC talks with Pavilion guy and learns that other guilds and corporations have begun to move against Zero Wing because they want Stone Town, he is very surprised to hear the news and says, "maybe I was too rash" (or something like this). Bad writing by the author there. That is a plot hole.

    He was talking about the speed of the situation development. He was expecting them to try and take the town but not that fast.
