how's the romance in this novel so far, if there's any?
also, any betrayal?

 

Doesn't have any romance and if it does it's INCREDIBLY slow. No real betrayal so far either. Plenty of busty ladies get introduced but then they fade away right away or they're thick-headed ladies that don't see the value of MC until he's worth something and it's too late for them.
There's been a few potential seeds planted for love to sprout but i don't think it'll happen before he's formed his guild.

If anything i want to see him get involved with an NPC or have the 'God' (A.I. that runs the world) fall in love with him.

 

None so far. Romance hasn't shown up in the slightest. The mc is consumed into the game and so are the females. There is an admirer as a gamer, but nothing like love or interest.

Although other people like to assume any girl the mc talks to is in love with him. From there is the cliché of jealous men misunderstanding the situation want to kill or hinder our mc happen.

 

It's not like he doesn't get sex. He keeps seriously screwing his enemies.

i decided to read this since its cover no longer SAO[though the new still look alike]

I did say other than MC lucky drop rate, this is the first game based novel i ever read where it does give a believable method for people to exchange game currency to real life currency [which sound plausible] and

WHAT THE F, WITH EVERYONE POURING MASSIVE AMOUNT OF MONEY INTO A SINGLE GAME

 

Compared to thief roaming around the world this is nothing

As someone who is reading both, each of them has its own pros and cons. Each of them has their own style, but would probably overlap soon as Zero Wing acquired their guild residence.
