So I'm just trying to hide a translator who I dislike the work of, one who is working on a series I like in parallel with another translator, and so I'm trying to find some way to get them, at the very least, off the series page when I view it. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a way to get the group filtering setting to stick, so I figured I'd just ask about it. Also, yes I've already hidden them from the front page. Ideally, I'd like to get them off my rss feed too, but that sounds like it might be asking too much.
https://www.novelupdates.com/release-filtering/ I doubt it does work on rss (not sure) but if it doesnt you can just have some extra code at your end to ignore that translator
I'm specifically looking for a way to hide them from the series release page, not the front page. I've been pruning my front page very carefully over the years after all, so I'm all good there. I'll look at what I can do with the rss feed.
https://www.novelupdates.com/series/ ... Basically, put a series name there at the ellipses, I'm not going to say what series I'm referring to.
group filtering will remove the group from the front page as well as the novels page and the list of updates.
Use the funnel. There are four icons in line with latest series. For example https://www.novelupdates.com/series...isogashii-desu-ka-sukutte-moratte-ii-desu-ka/ lets you filter between orlandri and fgilan The general page url becomes https://www.novelupdates.com/series...-ka-sukutte-moratte-ii-desu-ka/?pg=1&grp=4605 (assuming filter set to fgilan)
Yes, but that is a temporary change. It's back whenever I return to the page if I don't specifically make sure that the restrictions is in the url. Nope, just the main page.
Infact this does url structure doesnt even care if the grp translates the series or not. Welp it is an include only url so you can setup a redirect such that if the series has releases from the group, it redirects you to link like above. Multiple groups include is comma seperated. That or beg to @Tony
You could hide results for groups you don't want with an uBlock Origin filter, but they will not get replaced with other groups'. You'll just have less results on the page. More on that: https://forum.novelupdates.com/posts/5919335/
If you're going to look for third party workarounds like that, an easier goal would be automatically appending the group filtering to the url any time you open the novel page. Offhand, I think a redirect addon would work. Y'know, one that lets you custom define url redirects.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking of doing if it came down to it. Of course, since most of the time I use NU on my phone, that wouldn't really change much. I really wish I has some framework to deploy extensions on my mobile browsers.
