I don't if it's just me, but for some reason I can't get into the mood to read when I reread the CN novels, but it's fine with JP novels.
Do you guys have the same issue?

I think its because chinese novels are so focused on reaction chapters so it gets boring after the first time. I like IET's work for this reason since he keepts it quite balanced.

For me it just depends how much I liked the novel and how long it's been since I read and if I still remember the details of the novel too.

From my limited experience it seems like the goal or focus of a CN novel is to build up the main characters strength. Mostly in the terms of obstacles put in front of them. Inner personal relationships or building up the network of friends/family/lovers around the MC is second at best an afterthought at worst.

Reading about how someone got powerful might be interesting the first time, but once you know it there's no mystery or draw left to it.

JP LN focus on the character dynamics with the over arching plot coming second. Its much more interesting to re-read how two characters relationship changed over time. How they got closer or grew apart. You relive the emotions you felt the first time or come at it with it from a new insight knowing more about these characters then they do.

I can't get into the mood to re-read most of the novels either Chinese or Japanese or anything else. It feels boring to read something I already read in the past or when I know pretty much all that happens. I usually only re-read a few chapters that I really liked or a few paragraphs...

I don't like re-reading. It is very difficult for me to forget about details so if it isn't interesting for me if I re-read even if it is my favorite book or novel or re-watch movies or etcs.

I reread manga/manhwa/manhua or rewatch anime more than reread novels. Novel I only did once awhile cause it will take a few days to reread all over again (unless it's a short length).

I read those too quite a few times.

Some novels with many hidden mysteries and plot twist have stuff that you'll only get after you know the ending, these novels are worth re-reading.

Others, not so much. Maybe when it's simply too amazing and it's been years since I read it.

Depends upon the novel. And sometimes if I only like certain parts of the novel I'll only reread those.
