Forgotten Title Resurrection / Cultivation style fiction - synopsis in thread | Novel or FanFic

Hi fellow novel addict,

first time seeking a title I forgot and hoping somebody here can give me a quick hand with it.

Read it a while ago and can remember that I had more or less devoured it in a single sitting until the point of translation (50-80 chapters maximum) - So it must have been good.

It's about a male protagonist in a fantasy setting, a know-it-all resurrected type that uses his knowledge visely. The world had nobel groups which he didn't belong to, and he as the undervalued commoner protagonist wandered through the world-setting collecting the best things on his way until he reached a state-wide pre-election ceremony where he had to touch a device that appeared like a shrine to get his strength and magic affinity tested (a test that he topped and gained first attention and hostility with the stereotype rivale nobel family rich kid prick type characters).

After this simple test at the shrine they held a tournament with everyone that had passed to divide further in levels. He aced that too, ending up winning against be biggest and apparently baddest family's kid, so the father came by to take things in his hand. He shut him up, too. After the passing of the tournament he then was allowed to enter the "inner circle" of whatever city he was applying for with the tournament and went straight inside a multi-level library where one could only go in once and take out a single book to get some special technique book he obviously knew was there. And then I more or less catched up.

Sorry, if it's a vague summary but as I said I more or less devoured it all and forget about it after I catched up to raws or original writing.

Sadly, can't remember if it was a fanfic or a translated novel either.

sadly, no. i've either not read it, jumped shipped early on, or those few details that should stand out have become obscured by time and all the typical antagonists i've read about over the past year or so...

 

The King of the Battlefield maybe?

I do not think it's correct, but it is the closest I could think of

 

I feel like I seen this plot before. Or maybe I'm just misremember it with something else.

 

Was it an novel on royal road? The title has novel or fanfic, so I assume, it might be. I gotta have an bird brain not to remember the novels I read, or I just haven't read it, and I know I read a lot of cultivation novels. I need to go outside.....

 

It sounds quite generic to me, do you remember anything that might set it apart from other novels? Or could you get more specific about one of the plot points?

originally, sounded like Coiling Dragon...but then you said he isn;t really noble.

So I'm thinking Chaotic Sword God (test within the family itself) or maybe King of Gods or Battle Through the Heavens ?

Maybe even Magi's Grandson ?

gotta be honest, the test set up is pretty generic

 

There's just not enough information to actually get a specific title with how similar it is to other novels.

It is probably a royalroad novel since no one is able to find it, and it sounds quite generic.

You almost forgot about the 'know-it-all resurrected type' part.

 

If it has magic in it, what element did he use? It kind of sounds like Child of Light from the same author as Douluo Dalu.... but main character had light element and isnt resurrrcted.... Otherwise it sounds familiar in a lot of different books. Could also be Prince of niphelheim on royalroadl. He is a noble but his father treats him like trash since he doesn't have powers and is sickly at the beginning.
