I grew up in a rice culture, so it was rice every day, 2 or 3 meals a day, for as long as i could remember. growing up the alternative to rice wasn't noodles. it was plantains or something similar to potatoes/yuca/yams. I eventually made the transition to noodles when i moved out since the noodles dishes seemed easier to cook. I don't have a preference though. very little bread, except for sandwiches. that said, "bread" has more variety and style and types. A lot of food posts today.
