Their having a competition on short stories; you have until tomorrow to finish. The topics are: Rebirth, Celebration, or Fantasy; 750 words are the requirement. Just giving the information because I haven't seen it here.

That is nanowrimo (national novel writing month) not the competition you would be entering, read it again. The requirements for their competition would be 750 words.
That's the NA No RI Mo contest, thats another contest that happens every year, not shure who manages that though. It's not RRL. RRL contest is just 750 words Edit: There was someone faster than me
The 50,000 words is about something else. It means that the short story contest has a maximum of 750 words. This contest/750 words short story is to be a warm up or trial, etc. for people doing the NaNoWriMo challenge. That 50,000 is not directed at contestants and is just an extra reminder for writers doing the challenge (dedicating a month to completing a 50,000 novel) to use this short story contest as an opportunity to practice or warm up.
It's not royalroad legends anymore it's just royalroad. I know it seems nitpicky but it's a clear and important distinction.
