Ur options should also include Wolf and it's a little redundant to include snake because along the evolution they become a variation of dragons and u could also include Monkey/Ape

 

No birds, cats, fish or giants either

Skeleton because it's the closes thing to human. Also, possible variant evolution to Undead Maggot Lord.

Oh well, I picked Dragon, because there are too few stories with a Dragon as the MC...
Of course, those that exist are the cream of the top, so that adds to my interest in seeing more.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken seems close to what you want.

 

- Goblin. The only one with a society on your list that adds another level into the story. This + a few other things, such as starting weak makes it probably the most interesting one.

- Dragon is overused, and unless breaking the default lore, a solitary being.
- Slime, you eat, and evolve
- Skeleton. Meh, I like it, but it is hard to keep it interesting without evolving.
- Snake. Same thing as the others. It doesn't really bring anything new to the table. Eat, and evolve.

 

Purely by the fact that I havent seen a single snake reincarnation i want to see how it goes.

You wear a human flesh and blood so you would have a penis as well. and to make it more OP, you will have the human ability, skill and maybe memories too after wearing its skin.
well, a fantasy world with magic anything is possible, a penis for Ainz is also possible if the author wants to take it in that direction lol.

 

Thats not exactly skeleton-like...
More like shape-shifter, or maybe a dopperganger .
But that idea is interesting in how a monster in human skin inheritates their host memory and how that changes them.
Do they remain monster? Or do they gain humanity?
