Professor Skid dumped her without taking her over to her house? How is a frail woman like her supposed to get through a terrorist attack on her lonesome? Elise continuously raged in her mind. What senior, the guy is obviously in the prime of youth. Jumping off buildings without warning like that, he is more like a precocious child.

Her policy is to be respectful to seniors and fellow researchers, not crazy stuntmen with a screw loose somewhere. It took some time for her to regain some strength in her legs, but she was able collect herself and shakily stand up.

"The name is Elise Long, I'm a researcher." Elise fumbled around for her name badge which was stuck in an obscure corner of her bag. It was crumbled and looked like it hasn't seen the light of day in ages...

Erik Carraco - Country Proper, Police Command Post, 2.32 AM

It was one of his gruffier tone, yet the girl was somewhat... beaming? Probably because it was the second time he's actually not pressuring her.

Erik shrugged as he walked, lukewarm coffee in hand, while the young president jog to match his pace.

"You're probably worried about Penton's orphan. Well, there's no getting them the priority until this third-level alert -- wide scale armed conflict -- ends. It's the sad fact that we cannot protect everyone, but we cannot risk any personnel doing so. Some assassins from the Undercity came before, there's no telling if someone aiming to sow chaos by killing medical personnel wont come. Not with someone like Jasper Oron on the lead. That's why hospitals have one of the tightest security, and ambulances actually have armed escort."

He took a gulp from his cup, draining half content in one go. The few people they passed glanced at Patricia and gave Erik a weird look, but none of them said anything. Especially with Erik's gaze trailing on them.

"They will be cold, maybe hungry, but they'll live and odds are someone's gonna find them tomorrow. That's our current reality, Patricia, that some have to suffer to let others prosper. Fixing that is a tall order, and some people," there's a clearly malicious contempt in his voices. "...are doing the exact opposite of that."

He didn't specify who, but there's a fact that Erik became several times more zealous after a bombing claimed his wife and only child...

Iskandeer - Energy Reactor District, 4.30 AM

The worker took his statement and his inching a dark corner, mix it together, and immediately stepped away with disgust on his face. That'd work just fine, Iskandeer hurriedly stepped around the corner...

...just in time to see someone just shot a worker with a silenced gun, and almost cheerily dumped the body into a garbage chute.

After escaping the worker inquiry, Iskandeer go to the alley and see a strange scene, a man killed a worker and dump him into a garbage chute. He hide himselfs in a shadow zone.
"What is happening? I can only think of 3 scenarios,
1 the dead guy is a real worker, the killer is fake
2 the dead guy messe up his work thus got killed
3 from what i can tell from his happy face, he kill for fun"
while pondering Iskandeer is slowly retreating while trying to not make any noise.

Iskandeer, Judd Schwerzfüße- Energy Reactor District, 4.30 AM

Chance of Iskandeer goes unnoticed: 3/6 (1,2,3)
Chance of Judd feeling like looking around: 2/6 (4,5)
Chance of Judd feeling like looking around AND a guard happen to investigate the worker taking a piss in a dark corner: 1/6 (6)
    Rolled number: 5

Judd went through his business. He felt a tinge of unease during the process, but he dismissed it as normal for someone who committed murder on one of the tensest night in last few years. But then as he tossed a particular blueprint down the chute, there's the tiniest, barely discernible tap of a footstep.

Whirling around, a peculiar crimson pair of eyes met his own under the shade of a building. The man was wearing a worker uniform at least two sizes too big, and have long hair that was quite rare in the area since engineer would get fired for it and agricultural worker found it too annoyingly hot to work under the heat with such hair.

That, and the fact that he hadn't called any guards, followed, and stood there glaring back, it wasn't hard to come into a conclusion.

Well, on the other side, Iskandeer was stuck against a homicidal maniac on one side and armed guards on the other side. He felt the tinge of his weapons cleverly hidden under the oversized uniform to be really, really comforting...

(OOC: You guys work it out lol, and try to stay in characters yeah?)

Elise - Country Proper Elevator Outskirt, 2.30 AM

"Thank you doctor Long. It will only take a moment..." He stepped around the vomit, bringing the ID card to what seemed like an administration post. The other police officer sitting there scanned the thing, compared it to the database and Elise's actual self, before nodding and handing it back.

"All is good; ah, that reminds me. The professor said he'll be right back for you, after giving some word to the commander."

Scott J. Penton - Country Proper, Outer Perimeter
Whistling a catchy tune, Scott walked briskly through the dimly lit streets. After the guard's offer of help he had expressed his thanks and aptly apologized for any inconvienenvces arising from imposing on the police force, then left the commanding post without escort. The stationed security didn't stop him, why would they even do so when he was leaving? If they knew his name and home address, it might have been otherwhise, but no one batted him an eye like this.
He was now checking the tasks left to him. 'I have to meet those people now. How unpleasant..', he frowned while momentarily stopping his steps. Remembering faces of his past wasn't really pleasant. 'Can't be helped, since they will also have their part to contribute to the coming enlightment. Aren't I really fortunate for this to happen in my days?'
His mood brightened and he sped off again, this time humming a different tune, one you wouldn't ever hear in a chapel. As he went along, the street lighting changed to warmer colours and soon the muffled sound of music could be heard.

Simple deduction resulted in a single conclusion: a new unregistered worker in the Reactor District. There are many undocumented worker in Reactor District. It's a given... Most citizen reluctant to work in high hazard area like the steamworks, the high voltage transformator, or cleaning the inner reactors, and due to the age of the reactor systems, it started to demand sacrifice. Qualified engineer is hard to come by, so the upper management agree to "use" Unregistered as disposable pawn/sacrifice. The Undercity is a hellhole and many people would be glad to sell their soul for the modest fulfilling three times meal and relatively clean place for living. Some people do think that living like a slave is better than not living at all. That's why at any given time there were 10-20 Unregistered worker in Reactor District (of course this is a big secret to other citizen), their movement mostly restricted to sublevels, tending the various subroutine under the plate called "Country Proper".
Now then Judd could kill this Unregistered to seal his mouth, but even if this Unregistered report what he see it wouldn't matter at all... After all, Unregistered worker IS forbidden to come out from sublevels except when accompanied by a Citizen overseer, so if he could see what happened at the surface then it means he had dig his own grave... And Management turned every disobedient Unregistered into Agricultural District hydrolyzed protein nutrition solution for the hydroponics...

Judd said in cold words, "You didn't see me. I didn't see you, return to the sublevels before any Citizen Worker see you."
Judd pointed at the maintenance building that lead to the sublevels, the maintenance tunnel for the power line stretched all over the Reactor District.

Judd walk away as if nothing had happened... Now he need to hide the evidence that the power transmission line had been sabotaged by someone, so that the maintenance team couldn't repair it (transmission problem is easy to solve if you know where to look). He didn't know who that someone is, but he thanked that person to make the Reactor A paralyzed.

Iskandeer, Judd Schwerzfüße- Energy Reactor District, 4.33 AM

The crazy guy left!? He left !? Something nice happened?
Iskandeer couldn't believe his luck and proceed to find someplace so he can finally execute his mission,
Surveying, yes SURVEYING, some building and report, not fighting, nor pretending to be a worker, or running into a murder scene !!
And thus Iskandeer start walking towards his target

Elise - Country Proper Elevator Outskirt, 2.30 AM

Elise felt too tired to feel angry anymore. She's been through a lot in this one night. First, she was locked inside her lab with little to no lights, and she was scared by a crazy professor. She even jumped down a 100 meter building... Really, all she wants is a hot shower and some sleep right now.

What do I even do now? Just wait for the professor to come back? And then, who knows, he might even dump her in the middle of the battlefield next time.

    ...
Should I... go home by myself?

Elise knew exactly what was in her arsenal, and any one of her tools could slice through most metals and even some power suits. She entertained the notion of going back home by herself, if a certain professor is too late...

Hmph hmph, let's just see who dares to cross me right now! I feel very cranky! I've been bullied mercilessly, and I need to vent! ┗|`o′|┛

If Elise was a bit more sane, she would probably not have the guts to entertain such an idea. But it was a long night... Still, she did not immediately act on her emotions. She walked over to a corner near the guards and squatted down, waiting for Argent Skid. However, in any moment... She may start to feel impulsive...

'Fuck, why he had to offer so much money again.'

this time the payment was 10 times higher then before. if he can successfully assassinate Richard Starfield it will make his good for the next 3 years.

but it was too risky. he doesn't want to go with johann group, but the starfield company were a military group, MILITARY. it might be nothing like the things he did in the undercity

just then an it strucked his mind. the guard before reacted kindly to the starfield child. they might not know about what's going on between him and his brother. in the case, they would not shoot or attack him so easily.

quickly he took his knifes out and appeard behind the starfield child.

ok, but before we go i want to ask a few things.

"first, we will take the starfield child with us. i know you wanted to probably kill him later but the company might not know about what is going on between him and his brother. taking him as an hostage until the end might give us some advantage."

"second." he said and turned to look at ria.

"both you and i know this money is not a small sum, we will be able to live nice for some time with it. "

"i will come with you johann but in case ria not coming i want the money you should have given her, and at least half of it now."

The Enforcer - Country Proper, 1. Residental District, Hasting-Residence 3:21 AM
A muffled groan escaped Erwin Hastings mouth as the fist of the intruder hit his abdomen forcing the air out of his lungs. As he collapsed on to the ground the assailant straddled him, locking his arms with with his knees, and placed his leather clad hands around his neck. He struggled, tried to call out, but not even the smallest sound would leave his lips. Fire seemed to burn in his chest as he silently gasped for air and pulled at the arms of the figure towering above him. But those were as unmoving as steel and as his own arms dropped without any strength left as his vision darkened. Even though I told him...
The Enforcer released his grip from the man's neck a short while after his movements stopped. When he had confirmed the death of the target he got up and started scouring the room for the documents he had been ordered to retrieve. They would tell him all about the facility and it's organisation. He showed no hesitation at the death of another human by his hands. No he couldn't quite call himself human anymore, he was more than that.
After some minutes he managed to find a hidden safe and got irritated. Why did he miss to bring the necesserary equipment ? With a frown he glanced at the corpse. should he have interrogated him more after all? No, this was still in the scope of predictions. If you are unable to take them, just make sure nobody else get their hand on them.
After scattering a small canister of kerosene throughout the office and on the body he lit a piece of paper and dropped it on the next poodle. As he left the room he glanced back and saw smoke wafting shortly above the ground. He would now validate the answers of Hasting.

Zach, seeing the knife at his throat, paused for a moment. He glanced at the people around him. Then he gulp the rest of the beer in his hand.

After he put the bottle back in the rack he said, "I've had enough of this. We've gone all the way here. So are you people going or not? I want to meet my brother, I don't care about you people's objective."

It might be the beer, but Zach feels like he didn't care about his life anymore.

Ria, Johann Erlichmann - Residential District 2, 2.41 AM

Due to player unavailable, dice is rolled to decide action.
Ria decide to stay - 1,2,3
Ria decide it doesn't worth the risk - 4,5,6
    Roll: 1

The reward did correlate with the risk. Johann had implied multiple times that he didn't really value the Starfield kid, leaving a lot of leeway in the available method. It was a bit further and she'd have enough money to live in relative luxury for several years.

"...fine, I'll stick around a bit longer. But none of you get in my way." Ria conceded. The tunnel shouldn't be accessible to most guards, if they even know about its existence. If the mission was a failure, she'd abandon them and run back the way she came. Can't be that hard since she's nimbler than the armored guys.

"That's good to hear - and Grey, that's certainly an option, however it's not one I'd prefer to take from the get-go. It'll expose us to our enemies, give them time to prepare a counterattack. Even worse, Richard Starfield would take the opportunity to off us together with his brother." Johann elaborated, with a tinge of irritation at the apparent lack of common sense from his surrounding. "Since Ria is coming, we'd be able to silence the guards before they know what hit them. You have suitable arms, I assume?"

    Ria nods, heaving her bag.

"Good. Grey, let go of him. Starfield, lead the way."

    Undercity, 2.45 AM

Heavy Armor troopers were, essentially, a group of one-man walking tanks.

Fully plated in metal alloy five times their own weight, they were powerful, durable, and armed with weapons that normally need mounted support, interconnected VR interface with each other, and they also enjoyed the best kind of detectors -- heat, motion, nightvision, name it -- to fully maximize their capability to combat guerilla tactics.

On the downside, there's the fact that the armors were really slow, consume so much power for a pathetically short action period, and expensive. Ruinously expensive, in every aspect possible.

Mere ten of these half-ton juggernauts lumbered steadily out of the open gate. They immediately attracted several odd hundreds of rifle fire, but there's simply no weak point that can accentuate a lucky hit. Everything was covered in layers of steel, to the point that one could wonder just how many hours were needed to put on the armor.

Nevertheless, the effect were apparent. Their semi-automatic rifles shot bullet capable of punching through two sets of walls and still rip apart the person behind it, and with heat detector there was practically no room to hide. Only Jasper's men under their heat masking system can stay safe under cover, but even them would get torn apart if a heavy ever manage to spot them.

It took them five minutes to leave the hundred-meter killzone, yet no living Unregistered insurgent within their attack range survived. Their mission was to make a full circle sweep, clean out the force besieging the elevator and let the incoming Special Force hunt any Red Order agent lurking around.

    "Light them up."

Just as the heavy trooper reached a four-way intersection, Jasper's cue echoed through his men's comm. Two jeep emerged on one side, Republican jeep with their railgun trailed onto the overly bulky heavy trooper. It actually did more than bouncing off their armor, chipping bits and pieces with every hit. Several grenade launchers unloaded on them from a nearby rooftop, temporarily blinding the trooper.

That being said, the explosions barely managed to cover their vision for a few short seconds. Even then the VR interface allowed some sort of bypass as the AI made educated guess of where the enemies should be, in which a return barrage was delivered.

One of the jeep was too slow to retreat and got chunked into Swiss cheese, altogether with the driver and gunner. The second jeep managed to drive into cover so that the piercing shots weren't too damaging, yet it was still in bad enough condition that the passengers abandoned it and slipped into darkness.

Still facing the ambush location, the heavy trooper barely turned around fast enough to see a Republic transport truck drove toward them full speed. The trooper opened fire, doubtlessly ripped apart the driver, yet it still didn't stopped the momentum. The trooper, instead of scattering, went into close file and braced instead. The truck slammed into the mountain of metal that was heavy armor trooper, and at the same time detonated all explosives stashed in the transport quarter.

(OOC: When I say Heavy Armor, imagine Warhammer's space marine.)

Death Bloom - Undercity, 3.00 AM

Due to player's absence, GM will be taking over to not inconvenience the rest of the group.

She pondered to sneak in at Country Proper's command post, find the president, but decided against it when news of the heavy armor troopers took damage. She quote "Heaviest damage they ever suffered since their creation", which may sounds bad, except that there had been no single instance of anyone breaking those freakishly hard lump of steel -- it's the kind of armor that got accidentally dropped off the transport truck and dent the floor instead --, and the worse damage so far was scratch on the surface somewhat damaging the paint job.

Still, the urgent tone implied that she's needed to take over, fast.

Arriving at the Undercity elevator, she got the front row seat witnessing the aftermath.

Two personnel from their ten-man squad died. Some of the armor got considerable dent, and almost all of them had noticeable chips on all surface.

Asking around, apparently the armors' inability to turn quickly was taken advantage of. Starting with drawing their attention by stolen jeep, a truck with at least eight hundred kilos of C4 in it slammed and detonated at the same time. The armor may be tough, but the person inside? Not so much. A lethal amount of kinetic force concussed the two who took the brunt, turning their brain into meaty slush. The next few didn't take it as bad but it still broke something in there, two more weren't able to move while a fifth was disoriented so bad he can't walk straight. The rest was more-or-less alright, but they spent the time lugging their downed team back into the base.

She clenched her fist. She could imagine the Red Leader, almost hear the uncivilized barbarian, cackling diabolically as the Republic army danced according to his every plan.

"We'll pay him back a hundredfold. None of us will rest until we can parade through the Parliament Square with his head on a pike, I'll stake my life on it!"

Judd Schwerzfüße- Energy Reactor District, 4.40 AM

Judd was in a nondescript maintenance shed near Reactor A. From the hidden holes from this maintenance shed, someone had a good field of view on both the Reactor A and the soon Brand New Aetherium-based Power Plant. In that maintenance shed there was a hidden room that was similar to a church confession booth. One door lead to the maintenance shed hidden room, while the other connected to a secret tunnel that only Judd know. This was an Unregistered secret base / safehouse, build piece by piece over years.
Judd checked the notes in his hand. On the surface it was something similar to a child drawing with crayons...
But, orange flower, blue and green colored bees, four and half petaled flower, a bird looking at the sun.
It was a cleverly tailored Unregistered message, that Judd found this afternoon mailed in his office. It generally means: "meet with an operative at point blue-green at 4.30"...
Although Judd was rather late due to unexpected meeting, the spy is also late for some reason... The security was somehow strict, hopefully the operative know about the backroute, whatever... Hopefully the new person wouldn't ended up becoming new test subject for the Guards new suits...
He waited for the operatives for several more minutes... Of course Judd was inside the confessional booth waiting for the operatives. In this way the operatives couldn't see his face and Judd also couldn't see the operatives... After all, in case they get captured, they couldn't jeopardize other identities....
He couldn't absent for long, after all he was one of the few high ranked official still remaining in the District, the rest was evacuating...
He only said to his subordinates that he wanted to rest from the Generator building heat and took a dawn grub, but it now had been more than half hour since then, anymore than this and his absence would become suspicious. Ah well, in the worst, let's just say, I fell asleep.
If the operative didn't appear, he might just left a note...
Judd look at his watch again....

Patricia - Country Proper, Police Command Post

The girl was silently received the Commander’s rebuke about the wide-scale armed conflict. She didn’t really have a response of any kind, and perhaps he was right, but there was a tugging feeling in her stomach that they ought to have tried more. Maybe there were terrorists at the large, but did that justify being complacent about missing children? Who knew if they were dead or alive or trapped or injured or even worse being held hostage?

But Patricia wasn’t any expert, and she knew she didn’t really hold any influence here. This topic would just have to slide.

Commander Erik was walking too fast for Patricia. The 17-year-old girl was actually anemic. This was a secret that she had largely kept from the press and almost everyone but her closest confidants, but a year ago Patricia had been diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), a very slow-developing cancer in the blood that could take years (even dozens) to advance. In the early chronic stages, which Patricia had, there are little to no symptoms, except for general fatigue, poor immune system, and joint pain. Unfortunately, it is a particularly challenging disease to treat, and presently there was no cure.

In either case, Patricia struggled to keep up with the Commander. She was obviously straggling, but to most people she would just seem badly out of shape (or just simply anemic).

As soon as she found a chair, Patricia would want to sit down. She was a bit dizzy, and her head was spinning slightly. She would manage, though.

Iskandeer - Energy Reactor District, 4.40 AM

The comm he was handed before suddenly vibrated, prompting him to check left and right several times to ensure that nobody can overhear. That'll cost his neck, at least.

"You'll meet one of our inside source, the coordinate have been sent to your device."

Simple, curt, and straight to the point.

On the rather primitive display was a layout of the Energy Reactor District. There's a small red dot indicating the meeting place, and he can zoom in and out although it took an excruciating amount of time doing so. It's really close to his current location, and there's no guard eyeing that way (yet).

Erik Carraco - Country Proper, Command Room, 2.35 AM

Seeing Patricia silent, Erik took another gulp out of his coffee. It was barely warm, but it worked in expelling the cold from his body. In fact, he'll need to shed some of the jacket real soon or risk getting heat stroke.

"It is the burden of a leader to make the hard choice, to sacrifice some so that others can live. It'll be your burden one day, when you truly take the seat of the president." They reached the command room, Erik depositing the empty cup onto a corner where a trash bin overflowing with similar cup reside. His jacket went to a similarly full coat hanger, but he couldn't care about it at that point. Glancing at the extremely pale Patricia, he looked around the room full of busy officers coordinating the patrols before half-dragging her to the center seat of the control panels.

    "Don't touch anything."

It was quite obviously his own seat, the one empty seat of honor in the whole room. There are people monitoring security cameras throughout the Country Proper, many of them randomly flickered on or off that a quarter of the screen were black. On the other side every personnel had a similar screen of Country Proper map, but each of them had lots of white dots spreading around with a few blue and red ones. It took a while to figure out that each dots represent a police on patrol, blue were those under responsibility of the operator and red marked any one above private rank. There were a small part of the display where names and fluctuating vital sign were shown, and occasionally one of the operator will question a squad leader why did someone had a sudden spike of heart rate.

Erik spoke something to each supervisor of the operators on his left and right, what he said lost in the background noise and Patricia's own dizziness. He already returned his attention to her by the time the droning noise in her head faded.

"You see, Patricia, not one Republic Guard doesn't have their hand full on either fortifying important location, patrolling major roads, and coordinating everyone into the big network that is the Country Proper Police Forces. Now tell me honestly, would you take any of these good men and women to do a wild goose chase across the whole city, potentially causing a total destruction in command structure, even when none of the patrols ran into missing kids?" His tone was less rebuking than normal, and it was more like a strict teacher explaining a mistake in a thinking process.

Come to think of it, he never actually called her name before today - it's always "hey, you", or a rather sarcastic "miss president"...

Aster let out a low whistle while looking at several large-scale explosions coming from the displays on the monitors.
"Damn did Oron never use C4 in the past 20 years or did he stumble upon one of my explosives warehouse??? To exaggeratedly use a truck crammed full with C4 against one Republic Heavy Armor trooper......is quite efficient yet quite wasteful....Oron definitely has more up his sleeve if he can pull this kind if card out......"
Aster thought for a few seconds before pulling out his communicator and entering two messages, one to Jasper Oron, and one to Death Bloom.
    To Death Bloom:
The Republic's failure at suppressing Oron's Red Order at the cost of 10 Heavy Armor Troopers must be quite maddening, not to mention there are more casualties that are coming soon, but I can help you know Oron's every move, of course with a cost.
If you wish to accept my deal, then look over the details to my price, if you don't wish to accept my deal, then there are always other buyers.
P.S.~ My validity shouldn't be questioned, but to not question my sincerity would be a fool's decision, so I'll inform you to establish some trust, that the fortress guarding the elevator is not always doing a perfect job, especially when detecting explosives. (Not to mention the ability to send such a message to you)
    ~Your Favorite Merchant, A.

    To Jasper Oron:
To wage such a kind of battle with the Republic's fortress guarding the elevator is quite stimulating, but I will never be able to understand everything that goes through that cunning mind of yours, but I'll get straight to the point.
I obviously have an idea about how much you've prepared to raid Country Proper, but inconsistencies always show up, so I'm offering you more "reassurances" and if you want to purchase them, I'll send the prices after your confirmation. I'd advise refusing my offer, why? You should be able to figure that out, but business is business, I'll offer you a discount and a "membership" service on future deals for all your troubles.
    ~You know who I am..

((ooc; I’m not sure if you actually intended Patricia to sit down or not, but I’m going to be mean~))

    @A5G_Reaper
Patricia - Country Proper, Command Room

    "Don't touch anything."

Frankly, that was the only thing Patricia actually heard in her present disoriented state. The world seemed to be swirling, and she badly needed to steady herself.

…but the only chair in the room was obviously the Commander’s. Patricia wasn’t sure whether the chair was included in the “touch anything” command, but she was much too self-conscious to dare sitting down in that seat herself. Call it silly, but being trained in politics made her that way. There were obscure traditions – like, one could be essentially starving, but one could not take the last piece of food on a plate. Alternatively, one couldn’t sit down until others sat down. Shaking hands with a person more than once at a party was a grave affront.

In either case, it was a huge insult in political language to take someone’s honorary seat, so Patricia’s knees could only shake unsteadily at her dilemma.

For a split second, she even considered sitting down and curling into a ball on the ground, but that would be unsightly. Surely the guards in the room would gossip if she did that.

Patricia battled her anemia as she swayed. She needed to support herself on something… but since she couldn’t touch anything… then she would touch the Commander himself!

In an act of desperation, her small hands tugged on the Commander’s jacket to balance herself. It was rude, but this was an emergency, and she was afraid of accidentally touching some equipment. But despite these actions…

‘Ah… no use…’ Patricia realized. Her knees didn’t seem to want to listen. They were buckling from underneath her.

The toil on her body had been too much. After waking up every day the past two weeks at 5:00AM and running around the country for publicity events like a madwoman, it hadn’t been much to push Patricia over her limit.

“Hold onto these please?” she mumbled almost incoherently as she shoved her stack of papers into Commander Erik’s hands. It would be bad if they fell on the floor and made a mess.

Seconds later, everything went dark for Patricia, as she passed out. Subconsciously, her arms extended to hug the commander, so she would plop weakly into his arms. The fact that he had called her by her first name went unnoticed.

((ooc; Knock-out! Chair vs. Patricia, who wins? Chair 1, Patricia 0! Stay tuned for next time on “Patricia fights inanimate objects!”))

(OOC: Actually, I intend to have Erik half-push her to sit down. But it could be perceived that he left her next to his seat obviously underestimating how much his sheer presence intimidate Patty and left to hear some report, so let's just go with that. Also, he did start calling her first name earlier when they're walking to the command room.)

Erik Carraco - Country Proper, Command Room, 2.35 AM

And the president fell unconscious. She probably didn't perceived anything he said, or if she did it'll be forgotten by the time she woke up. Erik should've expected it, he actually knew about her illness - how he acquired the knowledge, he's not about to share.

With gentleness unfitting his usual demeanor, he propped the rather underweight president with one hand while his other caught the pile of paper before it scatter and make a mess of the whole room. Looking down onto Patricia, she seemed no different from ordinary teenage girl...

"That's really nice of you Erik."

It wasn't all that loud, yet the content was piercing enough that everyone present heard it. The atmosphere of the room practically dropped several degree, for none of them even imagined anyone can speak to the commander that way. The source of the sudden shift was on the doorway, leaning onto one side with one foot against the wall.

That was none other than Argent Skid.

Erik didn't reply, and instead carried the unconscious president as he approached the scientist. The officers were practically waiting for the powder keg to blow up, yet Erik curtly said "Conference room one." and walked past the intruder. As Argent went after him, the room was still frozen for a few good moment before the sounds of a door slammed returned the staff to work - none of them retained more than half concentration.

"I thought we're not supposed to be familiar with each other, Skid."

    "We aren't. That's how I usually act."

"And it'll be hard explaining why I did not detain you right then and there."

"You can't, that's how influence -- and a power armor -- work. I can do the same to Kunze and worst thing coming my way is some public apology. Probably some minor fine for disrespectful behavior." They both glanced at the sleeping girl in Erik's hold as a particular name was mentioned.

    "What is your plan?"

"I've bailed out researcher Long, if you recall? I hope she's still waiting outside, I kind of dropped her a hundred meters. We can drop the president at her place, they're kind of... close, before all these political crap."

"That's... risky. Not in the sense of physical harm, few place is safer than your side. But I'm not supposed to know that, and you'll need a fine reasoning taking her off my hand."

"Normally, it is. But I happen to have permission from a particular old guardian..."

"What- just how did you" Erik stopped mid-sentence. "Nevermind, I don't want to know. That's as good reason as any."

"I'm off then. Oh, try to get the elevator working. I'm gonna be stuck babysitting until I can actually send her home."

"You're a resourceful man, you can find a way to cope."

    "Why you..."

Elise - Country Proper, Elevator Outskirt, 2.40 AM

"Excuse me madam, your pick up is waiting for you."

Elise blinked twice. She actually dozed off, drool trailed the side of her cheek. The officer pretended not to see anything as he helped her up, escorting the wobbly scientist to the outskirt where an inconspicuous police car was waiting. From both sleepiness, nausea, and general exhaustion, Elise let the officer led her into the car.

She entered the passenger seat and the door was closed, before the car started. It took a few moment before her daze cleared, for her to realize two things.

Argent Skid the armor freak was driving.

THE president of Alemannia was unconscious beside of her.

(I'll let your imagination run wild as you react :D)

The reply was almost immediate, to the point that one would think he already knew the content of the message. That, or he had set up an auto-reply system although that was just as unlikely...

As usual, I am open to your offer. Bear in mind that I have to compare it with my other "suppliers", and they have never disappoint just yet. I hope the quality of your items are as superb as past experience.

If anything would unnerve Aster though, it's the fact that there was no merchant anywhere near his caliber in the entire Undercity. Either Jasper was toying with him, or it was a warning that Aster was quite a replaceable individual after all.

When Aster read Oron's message, he could tell he might've taken it a step too far, but sometimes he had to cross the line to get his meaning across, although he still felt a shiver down his spine, after all....Jasper Oron can be considered the uncrowned ruler of the Undercity.

If you truly had the determination and perseverance to chase me across the wastelands just to replace me, maybe I'd be afraid, but I won't continue with the threats, just go to the coordinates (___-___) You'll find what I'm selling will be better than all our past deals, especially for your current situation, since the Republic is quite annoying when they're pissed from suffering so many losses. We've already worked with each other for quite a while, so you should know how much I want when you see the products. Leaving the payment in the safe at those specified coordinates will do for now.
    P.S.~Good Luck
    The Merchant
Aster let out a light sigh as he sent a confirmation message to Oron. "Seems like the Republic will suffer quite a bit more down here" He said as he laughed a bit.
(OOC: The "products" can be whatever you want for the situation)
