My website has been having some rss feed trouble lately. It seems to be picking up my releases a day or 2 after they are released. I have no idea how this happened, why, or how to resolve this. My best guess is that an update somewhere did something. Can someone explain what is going on and give instructions on how to fix this?? Here is a link to my site: American Faux
i'm not quite sure how rss is used (so take the following with a grain of salt) but i tried with https://americanfaux.com/index.php/latest-releases/feed/, the rss file generated seem to be up to date. maybe it's your rss reader that doesn't fetch the files fast enough ?
Hmm, I've tried clearing my catch, but I don't see anything on the nu site. Guess I'll just wait and see what happens with tonight's releases
Do you mean RSS is taking a while to put up stuff? or NU is taking a while to pick it up? Are your date/time settings correct?
The rss takes some time to put the posts up. As a result. the NU bots have to wait until then to pick it up.
What happens when you set the date of the item as earlier? It could be a time issue. It could also be to limit load, there is some setting that is cacheing the RSS feed and only runs a recache every X hours.
So, I spent yesterday looking into that, and I am not sure how to go about doing it. Do you mean the date and time for the post to be posted?? I think you mean for the rss feed to pick it up though...
Usually, posts have a timestamp right? I mean set the posts timestamp to earlier. Or try changing the timezone around to see if it makes a difference.
A post I made has appeared, but I have done nothing different other than clear the cache a few days ago. I am not sure what you meant by post timestamp, but I made it an immediate post. Hopefully, this resolution will apply to all future posts as well. edit: Or, wait... did you mean when I make the post, have it so that it claims something like it having already been released 2 days ago?? thank you for your help.
