Anyone remember the rune factory games? I could honestly say that rf4 was better then any harvest moon game. Too bad the companies dead so RIP any chance for rune factory 5
Don't be so sure. Marvelous acquired the rights and much of the staff from Neverland studios. And they have talked about fan requests and response to more entries in the franchise. More Rune Factory games might very well be possible.
My sisters and I absolutely love those games! My older sister even bought a 3ds just so she could play Rune Factory4 when it came out!
Tides of Destiny is my favorite one with four being a close second. Definitely some of my favorite games ~
I always feels newer Harvest Moon and Rune Factory series have too much stuff to do, that's why i only like the Back to Nature on PSX
Fair point. I do think that Stardew Valley felt a little meaningless after a while. Um... another alternative game series, which to me gives the same sort of feeling as Rune Factory, even though the mechanics are a bit different, is the Atelier series. This is centered around alchemy and crafting, rather than farming. So no farm to clear or crops to plant, but instead exploring dungeons and fighting monsters to collect ingredients used to create stuff with alchemy, in order to fulfill requests and rank up. My personal favorites among the series is the Arland trilogy, but I think there's a couple of Atelier games on Steam if you want to try them out.
Rune factory 4 is one of my favourite game of all time. I remember spending hundreds of hours into the game. It's perfect. You can fight monsters, farming, cooking, crafting, taming monsters, fishing, going on a date, marry, getting kids. I got married to that hotspring china girl and got a baby boy. Good time indeed.
Personally, I love RF3. Just because I became most invested in it. Played RF, RF2, RFO, RFToD too, however, haven't played RF4 ( no controller to play it on). The only thing I don't agree upon in RF3 is the event at the marriage stage which shifts the date of the event, since I had planned it to be a nice day that coincides with approx. a day IRL.
Eh i think rune factory series are for Bored player that demand some variation game play not only dating and farming.
