I have plans to increase the schedule from 4 chapters to 6 chapters per month, starting next month.
There is a poll to pick a second novel to increase the scheduel to 6 chapters per month also

Tbh. you should translate 1-2 novels like you want to finish them for real, instead to try and milk on as many markets as possible without even pretending to want to finish any of your novels.

"Hobbyist" - Sure. More like "Milkmaid".

I know, I know, translators are protected animals... but I dislike it when someone "blocks" several novels with slow translation speed, instead of doing it right for one.

Oh and before I forget it, to make my post look less aggressive: No offense meant.

It will be easy to take offense but...here goes nothing.
Do you think that it makes sense for Qidian to translate only one to two novels instead of multiple ones?
Because just like Qidian, I am not a translator myself, I hire translators.
Reality does not always work like you think.
What seems fine in theory, could be pretty stupid in practice.
In case you didn't get it. I am not a fan translator. I run a business.

So you're working with the Chinese and Japanese publishers and paying for licensing? Or is it an illegal "business" you run.

I'll be honest with you, I am not following your website. The release rate of things I found remotely interesting is just way too slow, it would be better if your halfhearted translations wouldn't exist, simply for the chance that in the next new months/years a good and fast translator can work on them.

The NU rules state that you can't release your translation for a novel, if there was a release of a different translator within the last 30 days or something like that.

I thought you were actually doing the translations, due to the name of your website and one of the first announcements on the site, when I actually gave it a chance. The name sounds like it's the a hobby for the owner.

Sooo... you are running a business, while intentionally breaking the law? Does this already count as organized crime?

And by not paying the author for licenses, you prevent him from paying tax for income he doesn't get. Just saying...
