shiroyukitranslations is using browser mining ?

When ever i open a page my CPU usage limits hit around 85 to 90% from 10% does it happening to others?

 

There was another post about Shiro website having bitcoin... it wasn't resolved?

nope, not resolved, thinking it's intentional, it already infected my phone and tablet. PC protected, tablet cleaned, phone makes me headaches.

I always found that when I used to go on the website my phone would keep reloading the page after a while. I think switching off JavaScript stopped that happening~

 

If you cache the webpage does the mining still happens? I mean i kinda stopped reading lls but i wanted to catch up lol

 

I guess it's intentional. Rebirth's website also has a JS miner.

Some adblockers are capable of blocking this miner, provided you keep your filters updated. I'd recommend uBlock. Install the extension, update the filters, and you're good to go.

Otherwise, be like me and switch to Opera. Opera's builtin adblocker blocks the miner.

Edit: Oh, also, if it is intentional, and you wish to support the translator but have no way to donate (no CC, PayPal, etc.), you might want to leave your miner running. The mining solution from Coinhive seems legit, and it might help the translator earn a few dollars.

 

Norton security stopped the mining for me, but the page take a blue moon to load.

it isnt infectious as you are saying. It runs as long the page is open. Closing the page solves the issue completely.

The JSMiner works through javascript OpenGPL and sometimes even Unity.

 

Once the tab is closed it completely stops running.

How do you know that it isn't just bad ads as per usual? I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it may be browser mining until the page's javascript page has actually been checked, your thread title will just cause panic when there's no solid evidence yet.

Also, what CPU does your computer have? It'd be weird if it was using 90% of an i7-7700k, but not if it's a low end processor.

The problem is, the choice. If i want to support them with mining i should have a choice to do it or not. Not just use my machines howerever they want.

Yeah they should not do that without asking/letting people know. Hopefully the site was hacked instead of it being intentional. Volare was hacked before, and both sites run on Wordpress. Perhaps it's the same hacker and he used the same exploit with both?

 

My processor is i7-7700HQ and it's not add cause Norton security showed that it stopped a JSCoinminer download 8

I know people are desperate for money, but dont be a jerk like this.

To these kind of translators, we're always grateful for beiny graced by your translation, but i am sorry for being blunt, doing these kind of things just the same as robbing people after you helped them because you deemed you deserve to rob them since you helped them.

Please, dont taint translation community with these shyt.
