To be honest, I'm comparing it to Korean Novel translations. Maybe Chinese Text is harder to translate than Korean text. Who knows? Also, considering the fact I've started reading this series when the chapter translations were already in the 140s, kinda made me impatient when I caught up. Took me 3-4 days to catch up because I have a job and go to uni ...so time isn't on my side when reading my favorite novels. Just wish that when I do get time, there is something to read. Even a similar novel called, "Virtual World: Conquering the World," has suddenly stopped being updated. I was really into it too. LOL
I'm sorry, it does happen when a series isn't motivating enough for the translator. Or that real life kick the translator butt.

Basically think of Xi Ling as a soulbound item with a limited use power. Once the limited uses are used up, the item disappears. The life link is the soulbounding of Xi Ling to Ling Tian. The limited uses are here Nine Ring Power. She used her power and will disappear soon. However, since this is a mix of game and real life (more than that are spoilers) and she is a creature, she doesn't actually disappear immediately. Basically, she has a little bit of time till the system removes her. They need to revive her before the system removes her.

why do I get the feeling all those good items being auctioned off are thing the MC or his hidden group collected so making the MC filthy rich
The first item (poop) was his, the rest until the cursed earring wasn't his, but the earring, the gold luna chain and the token are his so yeah... the author making the items get sold for absurdly high prices is to make the mc filthy rich...
