I am looking for a novel similar to: The slime tamer chronicles And/or The man picked up by the gods Only other criteria are that dungeon management and romance are not the main focus. I'd prefer it if there is an element of evolution (monsters or people, I don't care who evolves), but it isn't necessary. I hope this was good enough to get some results... The most direct one would be Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (WN) I'm taking a break on that due to some taste issues after reaching chapter 121. But I'll pick it back up once it's gained a few dozen more chapters so that I can plow through an annoying plot arc that it is in. Overall it's quite better than I expected it to be. Another would be Re:Monster The best way to read it is going to the Wikia page for it. There's translations there. However, there seems to be some recent butchering of all the work that was previously done. Hundreds of chapters are messed up. I noticed it when I decided to check up on it again a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if it's been fixed.

"To Deprive a Deprived Person" is quite good and quite similar to Re:Monster (without the annoying name changes every other chapter lol). The MC has a cheat power allowing him to steal others abilities. About monster taming, there's "Long Live Summons" that's quite good IF(and that's a big if) you don't mind the MC being the biggest jerk and a poor excuse of a human being.
