Please recomend me novels about space adventure sci-fi. Threading the galaxy, visiting planets after planets, fighting space pirates, bounty hunting etc2. Can have mecha or not. Travelling in Light A Slice of Life story set in High Stellar Spacefaring Civilizations settings. Focused on a newbie team joining an older team of space traders that deliver stuffs between fringeworlds of various space polities. What can go possibly be wrong? (the answer? a lot) Well... I kinda have planned the plots... But I become too lazy to write the whole story... Basically, they found something that can upset the balance of power of the various Spacefaring Polities (the Commonwealth, the Union, the other Union, the Grand Communion, the Republics, the New Federation, the Independents, and numerous hooks and crooks)... Oh, it actually based on a Traveller TRPG session I once held... (for some reason the players created all the PCs as girls (and transgender)......)
To be honest, I haven't read any in NU, but if you grab any of the "Foundation" by Asimov they're interesting. It's like a long time into the future, humanity has expanded to the stars and enough time has passed for "Earth" to be a forgotten legend. No aliens were found, but humans can be quite strange. Anyway, someone predicts the Galactic Empire will crumble (using psycohistory), leaving 10 000 years of dark ages as technology is lost, so he decides to make a "Foundation" in a remote planet, to safeguard technological knowledge (except psycohistory!?) and reduce the dark ages to 1000 years. The Foundation series follows the Foundation through the dark age, the troubles they meet and how the original person manages to predict them, or fail to do so, even 500 years before!
