Not just any writer! He was the original fantasy writer for RRL. Back when Arcane Emperor was1 chapter long, back before Slime Dungeon and all it's knock off copy cats(You know that trope that a dungeon has to have a Dungeon Fairy? Slime Dungeon was basically responsible for that. At least on RRL), back before basically every notable fiction on that platform today, there was Spectral Regalia! It was the consistent #1 fiction on the website for years!

 

Waw I just got hit by a nostalgic feel, I remember reading it a long time ago.

Man I read that so long ago I can't even remember what it was about. I remember a race called spectral or something and rainbow (swords or heads) fight with a dragon? I can't remember much at all. I will have to wait for him to finish it before picking it up again re-reading it from the start.

 

Eh, read it for a long time, but after the MC converted the planet it all just went down hill. By the end it was hard to read. Everything felt so fake and forced. Almost like the novel was self destructing.

Seen the name before but not read it, I suppose it is good? Other than just being old?

 

Never really understood all the hype about Spectral Regalia. Sure it's 4 years old but most of the ideas in the novel are way older than that and been used in Japanese novels. Besides that the plot, characters depth and writing style aren't anything extraordinary. It's just a casual read maybe I am missing something...please do enlighten me it's always nice to find a reason to re-read a novel. Especially when you have nothing better to do in this time of the year.​

Have you ever had like that one old notebook from 4th grade that you found in the basement and decided to flip through it to see all your incorrect math problems, that one bit of homework you never turned in, and relive the old days? That's what it's like for me reading spectral regalia. The writting is crap, cardboard cutout out OP protagonist fantasy gone Wuxia, but it's a throw back to simpler times.
