Hi, I'm thinking of using a static generator instead of wordpress so I was wondering how NovelUpdates detects new posts on the site so It will be able to find mine just like a wordpress site. Or does NovelUpdates only support sites which use wordpress?
Novel Updates prefers to use RSS feeds to track new updates. WordPress sites are built with RSS feeds as a default feature, but it shouldn't be too much trouble to add one to a pre-built site that doesn't come with one. If it doesn't, anyway. ... Alternatively, Novel Updates can use email subscriptions to your site, if one of those exists.
I see. Good to know about the RSS. Also, how do the email subscriptions work? I'm more familiar with the backend of web than front end.
