It reminds me of a bit in Zhanxian, where the MC got some god tier skills from one of the guys he executed. He mused on the names the Elder gave his techniques, like [Three Purities Secret], [Universe Raising Treasure Secrets], and the pill conconcting techniques the dude didn't even bother to give a name. Whereas people who were less accomplished would all name their techniques stuff like [Supreme Dragon of all Time Dominates the Cosmos], [Ultimate Flame God Burns the Heavens], [Penultimate Sword God Masters Reality with 32 Divine Swords]. Like those that weren't at the pinnacle have to compensate for it with really flashy sounding names.
I would not give a LN crap with the title literally translated to "nagging Flat-Earth mother-in-law who lives in a van down by the river with Seymour, a Chris Walken-sounding and silent film-watching vegan cannibal zombie moose".
That sounds completely different and took me a second to understand, but it's accurate to the title, lol Now I want to replace all over the top CN titles with normal words, especially replacing all "god" with "dude"
CN novels have names like: "Black Belly Divine Heavenly God Emperor Ruler". JP novels have names like: "He meet his beloved magic horse/unicorn/track/packet/girl/trap/rice/alien when he went to a shop and he knew what he fall in love from his first sign, but the horse/unicorn/track/packet/girl/trap/rice/alien was tsundere/kudere/yandere that ignored/killed/kissed/etc him."
