Brendel should be happy if Graudin takes that suggestion. He'll get to kill him without Madara's interference and without having to take any blame from Scarlet for any casualties, which should be much lighter if they're not fighting in the castle. After he does it though, I wonder if he'll just take all the citizens not loyal to Graudin and leave, or if he'll claim the city for himself?
Well, he'll be free game once the war breaks out again. Also if his character improves in certain ways it'll be much easier. If he can find out what's going on with that apple for example.
chapter 141 the story is really simple.... the angered guy took the idiot's heas as easy as fetching an item
I wonder if he'll wind up killing the rest? And if that idiot still had whatever was supposed to go to Radner on him. If so, Brendel just gave Graudin all the excuse he needs to get his father to help him kill Brendel, not that Brendel's likely to care after he reads whatever was in that letter. I wonder if the letter's contents are enough to incriminate Graudin and his father? Or whatever it was that the dead guy was supposed to be transporting along with the letter?
what letter are you talking about? isn't he just an idiot coming back from his"duty"(kill, arson" etc and met an angered person?
If you look at Graudin's part, at the very end of it, he orders the moron who just died to deliver something to Radner along with a letter he just wrote that was implied to be requesting an attack of some sort on Brendel's companions.
Did they ever explain who mages are able to do magic while their Element is still sealed? I wonder what was so special about the girl? I doubt its something as simple as her being the heir of her people's ruler.
Don't think they ever explained why they can. We have seen a bit of magic performed though. So maybe it is a structured calling of the laws that somebody with unlocked elements created in the past. Not really going to speculate on the girl. Can be anything from Madara tribute, thinking her a normal girl for "usage" to your theory of a type of noble.
Well, the "usage" thing is very unlikely. Radner can likely get women of any age or description locally without much effort. No real reason to kidnap her, and that's before you consider the leper type treatment the nobles give her people. As for Madara, no real need to send her to Radner then. There were two Madara officials in town after all. She could have just been handed over directly. Personally, I'm leaning towards something mystical rather than political or perverse though. Like her being a seer or having a special bloodline/physique or something.
You are likely correct. She is bound to be useful for our MC or create an emotional impact to be introduced into the story at all.
I'll be absolutely shocked if she's not the Avatar of the Forest. I wonder if its a spiritual title like Pope, or something to do with her bloodline, or both. Also wondering if Brendel's citizens will be predominantly Senia.
It occurs to me that she's part Elven, and the elves owe him a favor. If he's willing to cash that favor in, then helping shouldn't be too difficult. That's just what Graudin told them. I wouldn't trust anything that he said, especially since he kidnapped her on his father's behalf but told the villagers he was doing it for himself.
He really needs to acquire a better sword. If they're all going to break after a single use, he might as well not even use a weapon. I'm kinda wondering why he brought the girl. She's just going to be a burden for him here. Also wondering if Rothko recognized him and fled, or if he just recognized trouble and fled.
