So far very interesting. Can anyone tell me what the Emperor would do to Sanya's status in the future? I hope she divorce her and adopt her instead or something! She and her two concubines so far obviously see Sanya as their cub lol

Also I want to add a bit, based on the translator I follow, the female Emperor did have female concubines. (And it seems she's shocked to see Sanya's age and abused condition rather than gender.) But she's straight so eh, dunno what happen with the red flower thing. Political marriage in ancient kingdom is scary......

D*mn GORGEOUS! Can't believe this is the same MC who just wanted to live quietly as a kid but she looks so contented as an adult. ML... has lighter colored skin than from the promo when he was kid (plus as a shadow like person/guard serving MC, I thought he'd be a bit more tanned. Or I might remember it wrong. What was MLs name again?

 

I remember that ML in promo had greish BROWN,,
I'm confused rn.

 

In the novel it said his hair is grey. So maybe the promo artist just used a diff color but they're the same person.

 

Honestly, I dunno if its because its novel art magic and all but gray hair IS better. Fits better with her black hair aesthetic. But still, has it been spoiled WHY he decided to be so loyal to her? Because gosh darn it! His line in the manhwa was so powerful for me

I think his hair is a dark grey. If you look at the panel he first appears in, it looks greyish.

 

The 1st panel when he appears is dark, since it was night, so its hard to distinguish,,

 

OG female lead is the Emperor (female) and its a reverse harem with the Emperor’s concubines as the OG male leads. The Emperor also has female concubines but OG Sanya is the only one who comes out.

Most concubines barely interact with the Emperor and just live quietly, which is what our MC wanted to do. But because of how young she is, the Emperor feels bad for her and gives her more attention. This and OG Sanya’s actions were what made the concubines hate her and eventually kill her. But here, MC’s attitude makes them realize how young she is and they feel bad for her too.

Both Emperor and concubines relationship with MC is more of daughter/younger sister kind of thing instead of like love interests.

The actual male lead is MC’s bodyguard/shadow who’s called Dawn but his actual name is Go-Un/Delicate(?).

I’m reading on kakaopage so it’s taking a while but novelupdates has tl up to 33 so far.

It's the same when a girl was the ruler, she was not called the queen, but a King, till she marries (Britain is an exeption,, becc there womens can 'legally'(?) be the rulers)
Like St. Jadwiga, till she married her husband, she was the King for a while.

The title 'Queen' is reserved for king's marriage partner.
The same goes for 'Empress'

It all depended on the type of succesion to the trone in a kingdom:
• priority of birth (like Big Britain for example) or
• gender priority
