The Coffee (and Tea) Lounge

It isn't people's backyard, it's literally the lounge's backyard. I mean it's easier to just burn all the corpses before burying. Cremation saves space.

No wonder why you're dead all that sugar. Also eating and drinking implies that you are alive... considering what goes in must come out.

 

Well, alive is in my name so it's not actually wrong. Then again, you can make a robot that can mimic the act of eating and drinking or heck, suppose in the future they make a robot that can be fueled by eating and drinking the same thing as human, can you say that robot is alive?

 

So when a robot eats and drinks they also shit and piss right? Making a "robot" that does this, would this not be a synthetic living organism? This would imply they have a digestive tract which with this comes with everything physiology provides. If say we had a terminator that ate and drank but didn't digest, or shit or piss. Then simply simulating it, isn't actually it as it doesn't do what eating provides.

 

But does something that functionally and physiologically identical to a living being yet still clearly artificially created can be considered alive?
I mean there's a lot of creature so removed from what we usually consider living being that is still considered such in this world. For example, Sea Sponge and coral is basically just a bunch of rock that inhales water to survive. Yet they are classified as invertebrates.

 

They're classified as invertebrates because they do not have a spine. But they are of the Kingdom Animalia and Phylum Porifera. Yet they are a bundle of cells that have structure that makes up an organism.
