Tell Jenny, he is super rich and tell her how he makes his money. So, she can defend him in court or even demand her dad to let him out of jail since he is innocent.

Seeing the comments on the raw and the ending, I guess I get why there's not many people motivated to translate the rest of the series...

The novel was being translated, Qidian who fucked it all.
About the end, it was satisfactory, not the best way possible but it was not a bad end. " Read Age of adepts that you will understand what a bad ending is. "
The novel is very good, one of the best things The Dark King has is that it's unpredictable, has no way of knowing what's going to happen in the story, and that's very good.

If he plays safe we won’t have any action. The only way authors can push the story along. Either it’s him or the antagonists.

Every reader have different levels of life experience so see things differently, and I must admit sometimes the authors do come up with some silly plots and reasoning at times. But if you read this to the very end. You will realise the main character is caged like everyone else. You can either break out of it or get snuffed out by the controlling powers.

There is a political and social emphasis behind the cage. Reflecting modern world we are constrained by society and rules. We are like a herd of sheep controlled by the governments and the rich influential families.

We got to remember he was also suffering from a terminal disease and need to find a cure.

Jenny doesn’t care about his riches. Jenny was a girl raised in a greenhouse with unrealistic views of the world. She was ignorant to the point that she believed in all the lies even though she works as a magistrate.

As a man if you are faced with injustice and the person you trust and love the most don’t believe you. Who wanted you to admit your crimes even after you heartfully pleaded your innocence. You can understand his rejection of hers.

As explained in the story the nobles do not give a damn about how much money or talent the main character has. Nobles and commoners there is a class divide. They will be happy to take the benefits but you can never be one of them.

Try and see what happen if a poor man try to marry a rich and influential man’s daughter in real life. In some rich families who only have daughters, they allow an exception but the man must marry into the family and the children have to follow the maternal surname to continue the family line. This is something that happens in China and in other countries.

The Dark King is written for a more mature audience and towards Chinese. So it might be harder for some to understand.

The problem is he didn't provide any evidence to disprove his guilt. All he told jenny IRRC was that he wasn't guilty and to trust him. Which is stupid because she is a lawyer and the evidence was stack up against the MC. Jenny would have been stupid to trust him.

You are correct about most of Jenny issue but you ignore what the DUMB MC did in response to his crimes.

How could he provide any evidence when the Milan family, Jenny’s family and the Deacon a higher level of magistrate already covered every area? The judicial system is very corrupt. Later on when Dudian framed the Milan family for the murder of the Deacon. They knew there’s something iffy, but in the name of face and to protect the image as well as the power of the Magistrates. They still did the Milan family in and put their heir behind bars.

With regards to Dudian’s response to Jenny, as stated in his mental thoughts. There should be irrevocable trust between two people. Jenny actually believed that Dudian used his hunter’s power to get close to him. Read that part again. She believed the lies and want him to admit his crime and that she will still love him if he admits it.

He already stated his innocence time and time again. From my memory I recall he was outside the wall and murdered those hunters who was planning to kill him. Memory is a little fuzzy.

Anyway let’s just go with him as dumb and I respect your opinion. Just my view of things.

If you want to know more in depth you really need to read the raw or MTL version of it.

Quite a lot of things happen my friend...

A Zombie King led a horde of Zombies to attack but fortunately Aisha managed to kill him. However she died and turned into a Quasi Zombie King. This is all thanks to her younger sister.

Dudian (Dean) managed to tame and control Aisha. He used her power to help him on his journey to capture Silvia. We later learnt that Silvia is just one of the many city countries across the land.

We learnt that America is left isolated so the humans surviving there do not have that advanced a civilisation. A huge ocean separates it from Asia with Sea Monsters that made it impossible to traverse. Europe and Africa is believed to be destroyed by the nuclear destruction 300 years ago. Only America and Asia remain.

We learnt that the Desolate Gods was the race behind Ice Soul Worms and Flame Soul Worms invasion of Earth. When the humans detonated the nuclear warheads in the hope of mutual destruction. The Desolate God’s, Ice and Flame Soul Worms survived but the world became too inhospitable for them. So they departed back to their home world.

However in Asia, Desolate Gods controlled the Devil/Demon Empire behind the scenes, whilst the Flame Soul Worms went to Korea/Japan and set up their own Flame Dragon Empire. Meanwhile the Ice Soul Worms developed a technological advance human Empire with them being mistakenly known as Trolls. When in fact they controlled mechas that could fight evenly with the other forces.

The three alien races were using humans as test objects in order to make a supreme life form. Another word their experiment is to try to find the key to become Gods. Humans were apparently the best incubators. So all the monsters, zombies and hunters are part of the project to create a God.

Our anti-hero Dudian managed to become a Half God/Quasi God die to experiments carried out on his body. He in the end gave birth to a real God. With the help of the God, his daughter, he destroyed the remnants of the other three alien races and united the human race.

However he was betrayed by his subordinates and by Aisha when she restored her memory. She could not accept the sins of Dudian killing so many innocent people to revive her. She felt guilty that her family was killed by Dudian even though they deserved it. Aisha believed they both should die for atonement. Luckily he managed to survive when Aisha tried to kill him. He was already a God thanks to his daughter (God) giving her heart/body to him.

Neuss (Jin) was worried that if Dudian loses Aisha. His last shred of humanity will be lost and he would become an unfeeling God who would destroy everything.

In the epilogue we found out Dudian, his daughter and Aisha journeying to a different galaxy and creating a new world. Aisha was back to her zombie state. So Dudian will retain his last part of humanity even if it meant her never waking up again.

Interesting part of the story, there’s actually a Sovereign of Zombies who pretend to be nice and caring for the world. When in actual fact he erased his memory to trick Dudian into not destroying him. With Dudian gone he could now take over the world and ironically destroy those ungrateful humans.

Not hunter but a lawyer. Once again he had proved that he is rich. The evidence against him was base on the fact the MC is poor. All he had to do was get her to learn about one of his money-making schemes. He stole an heirloom supposedly. Yet, he was making money.

He didn't need to prove that they were out to get him. That would have been dumb. All he had to do was prove that he didn't need the heirloom for money. In which he didn't do.

Yes, Jenny was willing to forgive the MC even if he stole the heirloom. She didn't care if he was a criminal or not. Jenny was in love with him. All she needed proof that he wasn't guilty but she also was a lawyer and love the law. She didn't want to be corrupt.

Have you read or watched The Count of Monte Cristo? This part of the story is a direct homage towards it. Dudian was already being prepared to sent to the Thorn Prison after a brief hearing from the Deacon. He was not being given a fair trial. It doesn’t matter about evidence or money making plan. I think the issue is you still see the justice system in Silvia being fair. When it’s a facade an instrument being used by the Lord of the Wall to control the population in the outer wall.

I know it isn't fair that isn't my point. My point is that Dudain did nothing to show Jenny, he was innocent.

He went to jail because he stole something valuable. He didn't steal it or want it because he was already rich. Jenny never knew Dudain was rich and all of the evidence that was present to her shows Dudain guilt. Dudain never present evidence that he was innocent. So i side with Jenny. Dudain is a moron.

You will probably know he’s got a Splitter a Legendary level soul worm. He later ate a proportion of Desolate God and things got really complicated. He was stronger than the usual hunters.

By the time he conquered Silvia, he was a high level Pioneer (Dominators) but stronger than other Pioneer (Dominators). This is because he had deified his Splitter soul mark and with the cold power in his left/right hand he was a lot stronger. Think the author mixed up the hand later in the story.

The Lord of the Wall happened to be away in the capital of the Demon Empire. Dudian realised the Lord of the Wall is an Abyssal Walker a level above Dominator. So in order to get stronger and to revive Aisha he decided to leave.

During his journey he happen to eat a part of a Desolate God’s corpse in order to survive, which further created a strange Desolate God embryo (which we didn’t know at the time) to replace his soul mark. Instead of losing his Splitter ability he retained it but further strengthening his power.

Later when he was captured and experimented on. Boro and Dina in separate experiments implanted Desolate God organs into his body, as well as a Flame Soul Worm mark into his body. I can’t remember the name of that soul mark but it’s very powerful and Dudian can shoot power flaming beams that can kill Abyssal Walkers.

A nuclear ring was inserted into his neck in order to balance the three powers of Desolate God, Ice and Flame Soul Worms in his body. His heart was removed and Dina wanted to replace his heart with a Desolate God’s heart to create a God. But his body rejected it and he was left for dead without a heart.

Fortunately, he did not die. Do you remember what I said about a Desolate God embryo that replaced his soul mark. That eventually grew into a heart to replace his missing one.

Our main character after escaping with the help of his student Edward and his subordinates found out he could integrate other worms into his body directly. He could steal other hunters’ abilities after absorbing their work/soul mark. This is because he was on the way to become a Quasi God.

Dudian had way too many powers to name but by the time he became a King. A level above Abyssal Walker (Primary), (Middle), (Higher) and Abyssal Lord. He managed to control the changes in his body and his body can change into other matters. The fighting scenes become very surreal, when you can change your body into other forms to fight. Like a mass of Splitter blades or clouds of darkness when Dina fought against Dudian.

In a battle against the Emperor (a level above kings) level beings he was dying in a lava pit but the heart in his body carrying the Desolate God embryo was born. Dudian instead of dying was saved by his “child”. The Desolate God born recognised him as her father. After Dudian assimilated one of the Emperor’s memory who have lived for 300 years and taking the Heart of Machinery to replace his missing heart. He became a Quasi God.

Dudian was practically invincible. He could create humans or anything he wants so long as he knows the structure of the being. But he was still not a God due to his heart being replaced by Heart of Machinery. It’s an energy source used by the aliens to power spaceships but can also be used in humanoids.

Eventually he got the heart from his daughter (the Desolate God he gave birth to) and made him into a True God. Even a fatal wound to his heart did not kill him. He became immortal.

About conquering the inner city, he was not powerful enough at the time but he used a plague caused by the Zombie King virus to wipe out half of the population. He got his subordinates to contaminate the water supply. It gave him more time to strengthen himself. The other details you have to look up.

Aisha’s family was butchered by Dudian. Except for some elders and the Pioneers defending in the stronghold outside in the wasteland. Aisha’s sister was brutally raped and tortured with arms and legs removed by Dudian’s subordinates. How she died wasn’t explained. But most likely killed later on after she suffered enough.

I don’t recall Dudian being rich at that point. He had a lot of cold cores from the Zombies hidden outside the wall and a lot of equipments he couldn’t sell without exposing himself of his hunter’s ability and the murder of those hunters. That’s a death sentence instead of the crime of theft.

Jenny’s “perfect” dad was also in the prison when Jenny visited. More bad mouthing the dad will only cause her to scorn him more.

That loom/sewing technique was invented afterwards when he finally escaped from the prison years later.

If you let the other party know you’re a human being from 300 years ago. What’s the first thought? You are going to be tortured for your secret and experimented on. As explained in the later story why technology was forbidden in the Demon/God Empire. Dudian would only die quicker if he had shown his ability. He was fortunate enough that the Monastry wanted to control him with him being a talent.

Like I said I respect your opinion but we see things differently. So let’s just leave it. Authors always make us come up with questions and they either answer the questions later or come up with some implausible excuses we find it hard to accept.

Yeah but if it goes as they've said it does, i doubt its still worth reading
