I'm pretty sure he's a late stage zifu Fiendgod refiner they said that during the casino thing I think. The estate said he's less than 5 years old which allowed him to take the test and such, but he's still an early stage Zifu. What I meant by not being able to attack with it was like how that old man used his divine sense I forget for what but Ning was incredibly interested! Well I think Swallowed Star has it even harder than Ning, but your right emotionally Ning has it harder. But he's mentally 32 so he should be able to bare it more than the 18 or so year old SS MC.
As a Zifu cultivator that can kill Wanxiang cultivators.. there wasn't much of a test. Ji Ning didn't even use his water dao domain. Maybe we can get this merged with the other Deselate Era forum http://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/the-desolate-era.232/ @Lachiel @holyshin unless the sub-tag was meant for discussion, not latest chapter discussion.
if those six Primal Daoists knew that Ji Ning can use the Divine sense of a Primal Daoists......i wonder what their reaction would be...that would be coooooooooooool...(just thinking about their reaction make's me gigle..hehehehehehehehe)
Ahh. What the old man did was use his divine sense as a soul attack right? Though Ji Ning has a strong soul, he can't use soul attacks as he doesn't know how. It's like how someone may be really strong, but can't use that strength optimally as he has no knowledge of Martial arts I guess?
The test was for early stage zifu ki refiner, not for zifu stage both ki refiner & fiendgod having soul level comparable or even above daoist level, even some daoist didn't have divine sense. So, automatically it was easy for Ji Ning. Also remember it's an IET novel. Spoiler: CD Spoiler When Linley entered Ernst Institute(the best mage institue of world),he had exceptional sense for 2 element and normal for one element.Whereareas, normal student of same institute mostly had normal sense for 1 elements.
Considering that he was the only one in history who managed to pass a test set up by a fiendgod as old as the universe itself, and he even did it with relative ease, if he had any problem to enter a school at "normal genius" level it would've been a pretty big plot hole :S
I know the test was for that but remember the black robed recruit? He practiced the same refining art as Ning to the same level and his ki technique should have been better than Ning's! Also Ning didn't use his devine sense at all till the end but the first stage was still so easy for him. Spoiler: CD Spoiler First time doing this so don't know if it'll work but, Linley had 2 above normal elements but he also had a 3rd though up till the point I stopped he only used it for simple things such as starting small fires and such. His talent was mediocre in it, don't really understand why he'd be given it anyway
He used his sword mastery...Or you even forgot how that is at the level of a Primal Daoist? What you wanted a Zifu level test to drag him down? Also there is a search button use that next time before make a thread.
Ning is a early stage zifu Fiendgod body refiner. It is because he has the best body refining technique that his divine power is comparable to ordinary late stage fiendgod body refiners. Also the test for the Black White College can't be that difficult since single ki refiners are supposed to be able to pass it if they are talented enough. Ning is an extremely talented Dual Ki/Body Refiner, if it was difficult for him no ki refiner would be able to pass it.
I would like to search for the threads... but I'm to lazy and they're usually crowded with other conversations I hope that the almighty moderators will merge this thread and delete the Wu Dong Qian Kun thread... I really hate being a noob
It was mentioned that Ji Ning is going to take Roch as a retainer to the black and white college. I'm suspecting he will take that girl as well that followed Roch. If they actually keep significent character parts or not can't say for sure but at least for now Roch isn't being forgotten.
I'm pretty sure Ji Ning did use his Dao Domain, just didn't "manifest" it. Basically, whenever he uses his sword-fighting he enhances it by his dao domain unless he specifically wants to hide it. This is why 'The Boy of Universal Fire' was able to sense Ji Ning using a Dao Domain even in the first fight where he only killed the guy in one sword move.
In that fight against that Rhino I'm pretty sure he used rain water line which was a manifestation of his Dao, he imbued it onto his two swords and cut off its leg in one quick motion... This allowed Universal Fire to sense the Dao Domain within the attack although it was so quick he couldn't be sure.
He went straight to Late Zifu in one go. I wonder if Oath of Blood prevents him from memoring the divine arts in Dao Repository Vault?
They have only put the abridged versions out there, they only give you a certain amount of information or general summary unlike the mortal, earth rank and so on that only cost 100 B&W pellets. Things like those golden tombs on each floor will only have the abridged version and will cost an enormous amount of pills, I guess they give the abridged version to the guardian and he gives the full version. I'm pretty sure he's already explained that even if he owns a copy of it he can't let others use it as that would be stealing. So with proper reasoning if he doesn't own something and learns its uses like his father explained when he learned the rain water sutra, that would also be considered stealing and in this case betrayal against the school justifiable punishment by the dao applicable and the old case betrayal against the family expulsion or punishment by the family within reason.
The boy of universal fire didn't really see it. I thought he detected the sword dao, not really the rain one but same thing. Also he wasn't sure if it was actually a dao that was preformed.
I recently binge read this up to the current chapters. I can't wait for Meng Roch to be recruited as his retainer, but from the pacing, it seems I wouldn't see it anytime soon. IET's method of storytelling is getting old as compared with Er Gen's ISSTH. The latter is more compacted as to plot pacing and we are less reminded of the previous powers he gained.
