Why It Should Get Picked Up:
If you liked "The Girl Who Ate a Death God" and "The Girl Who Bore the Flame Ring", then you will definitely like this. Although it is by a different author, it gives a very similar vibe. I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for an underestimated overpowered protagonist. Especially sweet and violent overpowered girls who have no common sense XD. The female lead, Olivia, is basically treated as a trump card by the kingdom.

Overall, the novel has a good and expanding world building, interesting battles, and intriguing events occurring in the background (a bit of espionage and politics). It also has a good mix of comedy, action, and suspense. To some, it might be more straightforward than and lack the depth of "The Girl Who Ate a Death God" and "The Girl Who Bore the Flame Ring" but I like its simplicity.

It has already been translated up to Volume 4 but the raw has gotten to Volume 7. The only reason that this was dropped was because the translator could only translate the Chinese version which had stopped on Volume 4. From the comments on the translator's page, it seems like quite a few people were sad that it was dropped. I have been waiting for nearly 2 years for somebody to translate Volume 5 and I almost can't take it anymore XD. At least the manga version is getting slow updates which keeps me distracted.
    Description (From NU):
—She is a girl with a bright smile on the battlefield.

With her silver hair fluttering in the air and dark eyes, the girl sprinted on the battlefield. Her name is Olivia, whose hands is stained with the blood of her enemies as she shows an innocent smile.

The deep knowledge and combat techniques of the entity who called itself a Death God has been branded onto her body. On Olivia’s 15th birthday, the Death God suddenly disappeared. Olivia enlisted with the Royal Army and started fighting in the war as she searched for clues.

Lunar Calendar Year 998. The Kingdom has suffered consecutive losses to the Empire aiming to conquer the entire continent. The innocent girl who lacked common sense will step into the battlefield as the “Strongest Chess Piece” of the Kingdom, and go down the path of a hero—!

J-novel club recently just announced they acquired licensing of the LN along other series. It’s now called
“Death's Daughter and the Ebony Blade”.

The name sounds terrible XD. I'm fine with the "Death's Daughter" part but I don't really like the "Ebony Blade" part. "Death's Daughter Holds the Sword of Darkness in Her Arms" sounds better. But I guess its too long for them.

I hope they make those releases fast (I wonder how fast their translations are) and I hope their translation is good XD. I have never bought a novel on j-novel club so I don't know but since they are an official thing, I'm guessing they do good translations. This is probably the only novel that I'm willing to throw money at them for. Soooo I guess this is picked up right...?

I have to agree that the name doesn’t sound good, and I wonder why they made the title short like that, JNC licensed “infinite gacha” with a ridiculously long title.

I don’t know how fast their releases are, they post parts of the vol as they translate a couple times a week, and then release the digital vol when fully translated a month later I believe.

I just read the preview and their naming problem goes into the novel too. The unofficial translation calls Olivia the "Dark Hero" which is nice, simple, and cool. The official translation calls Olivia the "Ebony Champion"

...like um... seriously? That sounds weird.

Well overall, from the preview its a good translation. Its probably gonna take months for them to get to volume 5 tho. Volume 1 will only become available in full in September.
