Here's what happened. Me trying to log in through my laptop. FB asked me to set a new pw. I did and was able to confirm I am who I am through a pin sent to my email. But that wasn't enough. After, I went through the email loop, the pw reset loop, FB is demanding I send a form of ID such as passport, marriage certificate, national ID card, or driver license card. But when I created the account, I didn't even send any of these to FB. Why the heck would they demand I send these in to identify myself when I never had disclosed these when the account was made!!! Now If I get log off my app, would I need to send in a form of ID too? Who do they think they are!! The federal? The state? The county? Their excuse for requesting such thing is BS. My FB account doesn't even have my legal name. How would my ID even identify me? BS. When did FB in USA become China's social credit system. Would email becomes something like this one day? I sure think so.
I think you think it's FB but I don't think so. Considering your history with weird things happening to your PC from some of your old threads, I suggest just reformatting that PC. . Also uninstall FB you scrub. It's lame.

And you are much better off signing out of your app to confirm it's not just your laptop than playing into a phishing scam. PS: If you registered your account under a fake name you might have lost it.
Um, I hate to break it to you... but I believe you just got scammed. Everything you experienced goes against Facebook policies. (Except for the security risks concerning your private information they use) Are you logging in or are you using an third-party app of sorts? Did you check the site name?
Yeah, facebuk.cim really likes to ask for everything, doesn't it. I always have to log in like, 6 times to fecebook.com when I go on there.
No-no, it’s true. It’s the real Facebook and I also google it too. It is an actual policy—pretty recent I suppose. I didn’t give anything away. Was like “forget it. I am off FB.” They’re the mafia running real legal business. They told us what they are gonna do with voluntary information, but do we care? Most people voluntary give them the info. Although it seems, most people would stop when ask for identification. But who knows. It’s the real fb. But it is a fb policy.
Any of these ID that would prove your identity, right? Not all of them, but one and they want it either scan or a clear photo with no black out parts?
They need to make them national mandatory FB then since fake accounts weren't only owned by non FB staffers actor.
Ai-chan has got this issue too. Ai-chan's personal account is still locked because for some reason, they asked Ai-chan for ID. But then they said, that ID didn't match Ai-chan's profile picture. Of course it didn't match Ai-chan's profile picture. Ai-chan's profile picture was Ai-chan's Terra Online Castanic avatar. This girl, but Ai-chan already lost the file for Ai-chan's lovingly made, big tits Castanic character.
Same goes for one of my old accounts too. They insisted I had to send in my IC, I said I don't have scanner, they told me to take photo, I black out the personal parts aka mosaic my face, black out my address etc and they said they can't accept any editing. I let that sit and just made another account since it was old mandatory account for my employment (temp) at the time. A few months later I got a contact on my email to confirm my contact information, key in my phone number and voila I got back my account. And promptly left it to eat dust. This is the same for Garena too iinm I just wanted to try and play, but then I got blocked because I could not provide the necessary credentials aka I don't want to send them my IC.
