I think the region was divided into two parts .So there were slums and people with disposal income. I think if they got worse the gov would give out free relief anyway so i think MC was trying to boost the economy before it got to that point . Mc gives out some charity and get something in return .(souvenir ) She also planted trees ,stop the slavery and bandits .etc I think she disagree with ML about free handouts to child thief. She pointed out he getting rewarded for stealing but ML pointed out he poor and a child to boot . I think they both had a point . FL is like the fL in Duke daughter where they gave out too much relief hurting the economy .
Well. It’s like when Kate Middleton buys something and everyone wants it kinda thing, but the thing is it’s only if people have disposable income. If people starving and hungry it’s going blow up in the one who’s doing its face. Look at Marie Antoinette and the diamond necklace debacle or “the affair of the diamond necklace” where there is a possibility she defrauded a bunch of jewelers when in reality a bunch of other criminals actually framed her for it.
I'm aware of that scandal. She was pretty hated by then but she was really out of touch. I would assume it was her naivete but as part of the royal couple, being a little charming to the masses wouldn't hurt .
Now that I think about it the MC went shopping incognito so she wasn't inspiring people to buy stuff to be like her -in fact she made a point at a party that she wasn't using taxes to buy clothes but her personal money she was buying stuff that was extra stock wasn't being selling so merchants have more money so does this really work?!

Your going to have to if you want to keep your position in power. I mean look at the "King's Speech" yes its movie but its based on real events. It was an unpopular opinion that the crown prince was to marry a rich divorced woman, so they kicked out of power. Then put his younger brother as the future king and later that younger brother gave a speech that influenced public opinion to whether or not join world war 2. So i'm going to guess the general public in this novel are educated enough to at least have an opinion about how things are to run in their country.

The 7th prince died so it ended up hurting the dad career with people abandoning him . The dad was in awkward position supported by nobody but he still had some power because he was so skilled . The prince was slowly driving him out and in the original story he succeeds .
No , it was accident . It a pity because according to the father he was the "one ." According to ML he was a natural genius and would have been picked as the heir. He was very traumatized by this .

ML was traumatised by the fact he was thrown away when it looked like the 7th prince would have been picked as the heir . No one loved him and his only value was being the heir. The Ml worked hard to be perfect and was always surrounded by admirers .He tried really hard to suppress himself and was jealous of MC who was free to be bratty .She even stole his stuff and dad was like i tried everything but Ml knows that a lie or Mc couldn't act like this. The Mc dad also supported him to be king but one day the half brother became famous as a genius .The crowds disappeared and Ml was abandoned. The MC dad was a very trusted supporter and Ml felt really betrayed by this. After the other prince died in a accident all his admirers came back but Ml refuses to trust people. He kept working at being perfect prince . He also held a grudge against Mc and MC dad . (He compared to the Ml in the abandoned empress by fans ,only he controlled his jealously and never cross a line towards the original host .)The Mc dad was so skilled that it took a long time to push him out of politics but the original host was so stupid when her footing in society was very fragile yet she tried to push herself as queen so Ml accepted her as a candidate as a sort of hostage to keep her dad in check as she is his only weakness. Then the transmigration happened and Ml realizes something changed within the host.

Well first she pretend to be kind to mc making mc feel bad .She always defended mc in front of people but was the one responsible in trying to make her a social outcast .Mc overhears her when she was looking for her after she apologizes for her past wrong and try to make peace. She realizes this Fl is a fake holy saint . The Ml embarrass her by not dancing or escorting mc at the part only the Fl. Instead of throwing a tantrum as expected Mc just act with dignity and look at them coldly catching Ml eyes.(first flag?) The fifth prince ask her to dance saving her from total social embarrassment .(2nd male flag!) Then Mc counterattacks by asking Ml to send her servants expecting him to send a spy. She acts like a bitch to see their reactions and figures out the one that still sticks to her is the spy. Then she tries to hint to Ml at their obligated dinner they do once a week that she knows what up but he doesn't react as expected . He also catches her when she falls and then pushes her away but Mc see his ears are red.(second flag?) She realizes he has emotions during this meal and even waits for her to come out from the room giving her gentleman etiquette before leaving which surprises her. She follows the spy who steals her letter but it turns out Fl is the mastermind. They end up making the assumption Mc and fifth prince is having a affair. Since he danced with her and one day he walked her to the entrance .(it was a coincidence ) Mc realizes Fl can frame her with a scandal because everyone will believe Fl words since she wears a saint mask. So she realizes what she needs to do next. She summons her inner demon to act like a typical villainous woman. So she wears dozens of the most famous designer dress and lavish jewels while acting super picky . She insult the designer but inwardly she feels bad she had to sacrifice him for the greater good. However this sparks a fire in the designer heart to make her the best dress. At this point Mc still looks for the prince spy among her ladies in waiting so she acts like a bitch in front of the servants to feel out one of the other ladies but she scolds Mc instead. She was send by mc dad . FYI Dad is the best he even try to ask the prince who has a grudge against him to spare his little girl. She also invites fith prince to tea to ask him to go to the next party but when she pull out the invitation he gets on one knee to ask her . Mc feels like he striking a homerun into her heart . Her heart beats but she remind herself of her slag ex bf and shitty prince . She tells herself to cool her heart because she over reacting because no one has been kind to her before.... (pulls out flag) After tea the fifth prince meets the crown prince who makes him sword fight. Meanwhile one lady tells mc you are such a *** so i wont be your lady in waiting but Mc like my plan working . I found a true lady in waiting and tells her the truth . The lady tells her she think Mc will be better as queen because when she was insulted at the party she still act refined . She also know Irene (FL) is fake but will not support mc if she likes fifth prince . Mc realizes supporting fifth prince can lead to civil war but tells her she doesn't like him . Fifth prince isn't interested in the throne and has no talent for it .Only crown prince can be king. So it really obvious who the Ml is going to be . Now Mc really need a break so she go to the royal library to read forbidden books that are not fit for ladies. She reads a racy book and laughs to herself. (FYI ML sees her making a fool out of her in his POV chapters. ) Then she see a fancy book but when she tries to pull it out Ml grabs her hand and pushes her against the bookshelves. Long story short it leads to him asking if she made herself beautiful for fifth prince and telling her he knows she going with him. Mc freaks out and thinks who the prince spy?! He ask why ? Mc said you weren't going to escort me ! You want me to look like a fool? Ml ...It not that. (Ml POV chapter shows he was going to escort her.) He shows jealously that Mc calls the fifth prince by name. She thinks he mad his plan to make her a outcast has failed. She leaves him. Mean while the designer bring new dresses but is disappointed at Mc simple it beautiful ! She brought 7 and charged it to her house since it was a lot. Now the trap for Irene is ready!
