I'd appreciate it if someone could clarify...
I'm reading the raws but I'm still confused, MC was transported in the game right, so is everyone he talked to and met are just NPCs programmed? Or are they 'real'?
Is he inside the game as a game or as his reality? (idk how to explain this lol)

I even got mad at some point when he treated everything like a game and acted like everyone is still an NPC

It hasn't been revealed yet, but one common 'theory' is that Light Brain is some entity rather than a computer (and that there's no game developer) or whatever and that all those players get transported. And honestly that's fairly common trope for VR games literature, usually some Aliens operating the game from the moon or such... (e.g. Asura's Wrath and Godly Hunter)

Of course there's also other speculations, like that MC somehow got inside the game and is some kind of BUG or whatever for real.

They presumably don't want to jeopardize his loyalty for trinkets. The information department probably would have if they had been in charge of building it though.

 

This has never really mattered to me. If the NPCs are this realistic then they're basically real. Whether he's transported to a new world or is just playing a game it's irrelevant.

Before the 2.0 update, an alien goes to seablue star. the alien and mc talk about players, with the alien saying various theories about them, one of them is that the world is a "Lower dimension world" created by someone, and players would be people from a "higher dimension world". something like 2d/3d.

 

Wait so what are the five main classes?

• Mechanics (our lovely MC)
• Espers (/Psychics?)
• Mages
• ???

Or are espers and psychics separate classes. I'm confuzzled.

 

Espers and Psychics is different in this novel, in mtl espers called ability user they basically like superhero but with spesific Element/Uniqie power eg, Hela: Power of death, or invisibility, toxic, clone. Psychics is similiar to Prof X from X-Men, they mostly used mental power, they can hypnosis, make people crazy, influence people.

 

Why did they blame him and not Han Xiao? Unless the MC did something to frame him that wasn't mentioned? Though, even then, they'd have to be pretty incompetent to not know what was really going on.

 

Well they got the credit for it, so if its something they made and it comes up at competition right away they are at fault, they should protect their invention better.

Also if Han Xiao privately makes anything he can do anything with it. He never gave or sold blueprints to anyone, they are his. He can sell it to a team, other people in the company or anyone else. Whereas research team probably has different contracts and objectives.

They wanted the credit, well then take the responsibilities too.

 

Wasn't it because the head took the credits and said that it was their blueprint, and the said blueprint was in the hand of an underground weapon merchant.

 

This only makes sense if the person doing the blaming doesn't know (or is pretending not to know) that the research department stole the designs. They'd have to be truly incompetent to not know the designs were stolen, but siding with an outsider over one of their own wouldn't really make much sense either, especially since they could have done so earlier without sacrificing the career of a promising young researcher with more loyalty and ambition than moral character.

 

He knew it as to why he is reacting that way towards the department head.

"Chief, you called?"

"Your plans were approved yesterday. The Retractable Knife will be credited to your department."

The research director was overjoyed to hear the news.

"Thank you for your trust, chief."

The chief chuckled.

"Don't be happy so soon."

The research director furrowed his brows.

"What happened? If it's about Han Xiao, there won't be a problem. There's nothing he can do."

"Oh, you think so?" questioned the chief.

The research director nodded.

"Good..."

Suddenly, the chief picked up a folder and threw it in the research director's face.

"To think that you would abuse your power to sell the division's technology for personal gain! How disappointing."

Right, which means that he almost certainly knows that he's falsely accusing the guy. I'm just not clear on why.

 

He is probably part of the same faction as the MC's backer.
There are two opposing faction one is against the MC while the other is in favor of him.

 

The plan that was approved was probably something along the lines of removing all credit to Han Xiao from the blade and pretending that they invented it while Han Xiao had nothing to do with it. In that case then officially the MC has nothing to do with the invention and can't have leaked it. Of course the guy knows that the guy is innocent but he's gonna take the blame for it. The higher ups are probably pissed that his bs caused the MC to sell his blueprints to a third party and they lost their monopoly as a result.

 

Well, that worked out in the worst possible way for the Division.

I assume that cliff was supposed to imply that the mechanic knowledge was being hidden from him, but that doesn't really make sense when he specifically asked for mechanical knowledge.

 

Why would Technician give 30 strength and 3 intelligence? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Also, how is his strength only 31 after advancing? It had to have been at least 20 to equip the arm, so shouldn't it be at least 50 now? Or did he only gain 3 strength and 30 was a typo?
