MC ends up squeezing himself among the top 10 ranks. Chen-dude comes to see him about stocks. I don't really get this part so I won't elaborate. Anyways, winter vacation. Female cousin returns (super skinny and her mom is worried) from being away to another city to study. MC meets Uncle Zhang (the police officer) after a long time and he reminds MC that his parents will be coming back for New Year. MC forgot. In his past life, MC didn't see his parents for all three years he was living with his aunt and uncle because, since he kept contact with Wei-dude or tried anyways, Wei-dude's parents weren't happy and dismissed MC's father and brother so they ended up starting up their own company with their resources. For all those three years they didn't return to see aunt and uncle (I think the city MC is in now is their hometown or something), they were busy running their new baby company. Since in this life, MC didn't keep contact with Wei-dude, his father and brother didn't get fired so they weren't busy so they weren't busy. MC kinda mentions out loud that he doesn't want his parents to return and LL, the sticky bun that he is, hears him. Although he doesn't talk, since learning letters, he uses it to communicate with MC. MC tells him not to mind and that they were having hot pot tonight and to look forward to it. LL never had hot pot he was happy and looking forward to it because MC was happy and excited. They go out of their house and it's cold outside. LL wants to hug but MC misinterprets and picks him up instead and LL wraps his scarf around MC, making it so that one scarf is wrapped around both of them MC's parents come and MC and LL and the rest of the relatives go greet them. LL is a bit intimidated to look at MC's father because MC said he didn't like him. When he does look up, he sees that MC's father is looking at him with disgust or something (MC's father is very disrespectful of MC's uncle and the fact that he adopted a kid and also because LL is "mute" so he thinks LL is dumb). Still, he gives LL a red envelope and (best scene ever) LL raises his 8-year old head as if he was too good for MC's dad, takes the envelope and gives it to male cousin as a fuck off to MC's dad Then male cousin is all like "why are you giving me this?" (can't read the mood much) while MC's uncle laughs at MC's dad who's humiliated lol. MC's bitch sister says something like "well, he's not dumb as I thought he was" and gets scolded by the whole family. MC's mom greets him and tells him to come home with them (they have a home in this city) and MC tells them that 'no, he's staying with uncle'. Their two seconds conversation gets interrupted by Andy (?) who was sister-in-law's kid and goes to take care of the kid. There's talk about MC's brother marriage to sister-in-law, they haven't gotten married yet (I wonder why) because sister-in-law didn't want to wear a dress with pregnant belly and all. Okay so since MC's parents have a home in this city, MC's aunt and uncle convince to go live with them while they are here despite MC not wanting to go. LL is even more reluctant since, LL is the adopted son of uncle and aunt and had nothing to do with MC staying with MC's family. MC tries to explain that he'll be back soon but LL doesn't wanna and things escalate to him throwing a temper tantrum. Male cousin has to hold him down as MC makes a run for the door but LL's struggling makes MC feel bad and he asks his uncle if he really needs to go. I think they decide for MC to only visit them for a while during the day but not actually to sleep and stay over there and MC goes back to hug LL with poor beaten up male cousin sitting on the side. All upset and crying (LL never cried so that was kinda shocking), he ends up whispering "Jiu Jiu" MC is super shocked and even though the rest of the people hear, they heard MC asking if LL called him by his name (well, nickname). Everyone is shocked and are like "fuck MC's family, LL talked!!" Male cousin thinks LL hates him because of all the beating and all. MC brings LL upstairs because he was upset and tells him that he's not going anywhere (LL's fear is that if MC leaves, he'll leave forever and abandon LL). Female cousin come out of her zombie coma of studies to find the house gossiping about LL talking and she runs after them only to be stopped with, he's pretty upset now. New year's celebration is here. MC recalls LL sneaking a drink at wine at the wedding and offers LL a low alcohol fruit wine (under the supervision and okay of uncle and aunt of course). They play card while awaiting the new year and LL speaks again, wishing his Jiu Jiu happy new years. After the holidays, MC's family have to return to ...C (?) city and they came to bid MC and aunt and uncle farewell. MC's brother talks to him about his marriage. Since it's his marriage, he has to invite people from his company that includes the higher ups aka Wei family. Since Wei president will be too lazy to show, his representative Wei-dude will be there and MC's brother is worried that MC will sort of cause a scene. MC reassures him that he won't do such thing or try to get back with Wei-dude (Wei-dude is bisexual and later on, like WAY later on, got married and had kids in MC's past life) since he's been over Wei-dude in his past life. MC's sister-bitch calls MC's brother to tell that they were leaving. MC and LL have a discussion in the doorway-ish because LL is being sticky. MC asks LL if he doesn't love (?) (maybe trust, it makes more sense here) yet and LL just calls Jiu Jiu. MC is kinda , like LL can't you call me brother but LL is super adamant and is all like Jiu Jiu! Male cousin butts in and says LL likes him more and ask LL to call him brother. LL is like : ....*male cousin's name* Male cousin: orz Female cousin returns to C city a couple days later as well for her school. Later on, MC, LL and male cousin goes to MC's brother's wedding. MC's sister conspires with friends to pour wine on MC but gets caught (?) (not sure about this). Male cousin sees the whole thing and is like: no wonder MC doesn't like his family. Wei-dude obviously spots MC and MC asks male cousin to watch over LL while he talks to him. Wei-dude wants to get together but MC's like nuh-uh, what happens to my family when your parents find out. After MC leaves him to return to LL (who glares at Wei-dude due to vinegar) (he doesn't like how close Wei-dude was to MC but doesn't know why), MC's sister-bitch shows up to greet him (girl has a crush on him). Wei-dude is super disgusted by her because, if it wasn't for her, he and MC wouldn't have had to break up. A little more something at the wedding before they return home. After speaking that first time, LL speaks more now at home, calling aunt and uncle and so on. Uncle brings up the talk about LL's education again now that he's talking and leaves MC is charge of bringing it up to LL (that coward!! Lol!!!) MC does warily and LL asks why he has to study with immature brats (lol). MC convinces him though and LL agrees.
He's 8 to 9 years-old when LL and MC first meets although he appears to be a 5 year-old due to being malnourished.
It's Lang Lang's first day of school~ Spoiler MC and aunt and super worried and being the dotting 'parent' that they are and making sure LL is well supplied. Males cousin asks MC shouldn't they be heading to school only to have MC say that he'll go after dropping LL off to his school. They had made LL take a test because or else LL would be a 9-year-old attending first grade. So the test says that he can attend third grade instead. MC and aunt both pack his bag and his lunch and the aunt escorts him to school and complete the procedure. LL is seated beside this fat kid and recalls MC telling him to talk and get along with others so LL talks to the fat kid beside him. Fat kid weeps of joy (I'm exaggerating here but you get my drift) because no one wants to talk to him because he's the fat kid and all (LL doesn't care, he's just obeying what MC told him). MC on the other hand is super absent-minded in class and the girl that has a crush on him ask him what's wrong. He says his brother is attending school for the first time so he's a bit worried. Male cousin started dating his crush on the other hand despite MC's warning not to and focus on his studies like he promised his father (MC's uncle) in exchange for letting him go to this school and not the same super good school as the female cousin (uncle had bribed the school to let male cousin in but he didn't do well there). MC doesn't bother getting in the way though since it was male cousin's decision and all. MC's grandma goes to pick LL over after school but was also called because there was a fight. And there's parents complaining and all that shenanigans. Basically, what happened was that there's this school bully that likes bullying fat kid and sees LL, the pretty boy that he is getting along with fat kid. So he comes along to talk to them only to be prevented by fat kid because he finally has a friend and got courage to defend himself. Bully ends up knocking over LL's bag with the lunch MC prepared for him and well...you can imagine LL. The devastation. So, in a rage, he beats the bully up and the people around them, who didn't go call a teacher when bully first started bullying (really, kids these days!!) goes to call the teacher now that MC was beating the shit out of the bully. When they are called into the office, fat kid tells the teachers that it's the bully's fault and leaves out LL's involvement. Of course, when grandma shows up, LL tells her what really happened (such an honest and good kid). After hearing LL's side of the story, grandma's like "who cares about the other kid, you're not hurt are you?" (lol) After they return home, MC returns home not too long after them. MC hears the news about what happened in LL's school and suggest to uncle that LL is still not as healthy and strong as the other kids, maybe he should practice martial arts to be able to defend himself. They agree and they ask LL if he wants to learn Sanda (?). LL agrees while thinking to himself "I'll be able to protect Jiu Jiu" Later on that day, when LL and MC go back to there place for the night, LL has a nightmare and ends up muttering in his sleep "Mom, Dad, don't kill me." MC gets woken up by that and tries to shake LL awake or at least, enough to dissipate the nightmare. He does so but MC can't sleep well the rest of the night, waking up sporadically to check up on LL. The next day, grandma asks why MC is up early and MC tells LL had a nightmare. Grandma is like, "I should get that Chinese medicine for nightmares" and runs along. Female cousin is back and she's studying like mad for her college entrance exam while the family watches on.That aunt (or grandma) seeing the female cousin like that says that if she could, she'd replace her daughter in this suffering (such a good mom, you can take me exams any day!!) Once the exams over, female cousin looks to male cousin and MC and says "It's your turn next". The family is waiting impatiently to hear news about the result while MC thinks about money. He can money from the stocks but it's unstable and even he's not sure if he can keep doing it for long. MC recalls that in the past life, after returning from studying abroad, he opened an investment company with Chen-dude and goes about to ask female cousin when is the graduation (?) feast so that he could meet him and talk to him in person. MC then brings out his laptop and suggest checking female cousin's result online. This is the age where computer is still new (it think) so even when they get a confirmation that she passed, they are like "is this information correct?" and still waits beside the phone to get the news of female cousin's result. Female cousin quietly asks what's Chen-dude's result and it's also a pass. Chen-dude calls, he's sick and ask MC to check his result and tells him female cousin already asked him to and tells him his score. He has the second best score, I think. Because of that, during the feast, he's greeted by the teacher and barely has time to talk to MC and female cousin and the family. The family, well the adults anyways, are like well he's smart and all, we understand and are supportive-ish. Female cousin doesn't understand her family's reaction and is being a tsundere about this. Male cousin FINALLY figures out something is going on with his sister and Chen-dude. Chen-dude doesn't have the time to talk to MC and tells him to come meet at his bar instead. So MC and LL by default, leaves the feast early and heads to the bar later on. The bar hasn't been open for a while so lots of dust accumulated. Chen-dude tells MC that he's thinking of changing it to a restaurant and MC wonders why since bar was successful and all. MC mentions the thing about the company and since he's too young to handle it, to let Chen-dude handle the matter for now. Chen-dude asks how he's going to buy his share when he's not legal to do it. MC says to let his female cousin be in charge of his share and she can give it to him once he turns eighteen. Chen-dude says he has to think about and MC says they're heading home and LL says he's sleepy and blinks those big eyes (that was Chen-dude's first time hearing LL speak and was surprised). Half a month later, Chen-dude's restaurant opens up and female cousin is already there. MC, LL and male cousin are invited and goes to check it out. Male cousin is being super snobby because Chen-dude and his sister and all Anyways, talking, escorting them to a very fancy and private booth where female cousin is sitting. Booth has everything, TV, cards etc. MC gets why Chen-dude wanted to open a restaurant now. They play cards and, I don't really get the MTL but male cousin ask LL to do something with the cards or something but LL calls him stupid. Chen-dude returns with their steak and tells them to eat while it's hot and that he had to take care of other things so he'll join them later. MC cuts LL's smaller steak and LL forks it and feeds it to MC MC blows because the steak is still hot and LL laughs. They then end up feeding each other through the whole meal Male cousin, seeing his sister dating Chen-dude and MC being all "lovey-dovey" with LL also wants to announce that he has a girlfriend but stays silent because his sister would make fun of him calling it puppy love or something. Later on, after the meal is finished, female cousin goes to the front desk and male cousin to the bathroom and Chen-dude opens a pack of cigarette. He and MC talks and he agrees to MC's proposition of opening a company. Chen-dude and female cousin takes the train and departs in mid-September (for their college. College!! Not eloping!!) and male cousin gets dumped. (XD)

MC is in third year of high school now and he and male cousin aren't in the same class anymore. In fact, because of his goal to be a physical education teacher, he trains and plays sport until very late making it so the MC and male cousin don't go home together anymore. MC still picks up LL though from his martial arts class. MC's studies is focused on science instead. So this day, MC finishes his history class and is on his way home when male cousin stops him to greet him. He has his group of fangirl that watches him play and one of the girl Xu Yan (this bitch) notices MC and asks who he is. One of the girls answer her and tells aiming for MC is useless since even the school's flower didn't succeed to get him. Xu Yan tells the girl to shut up basically. So MC goes to the dojo or whatever where LL trains and out comes a sweaty 11-year-old LL (MC's 18 now by the way) calling "Jiu Jiu". LL trains at the dojo for two hours and is all sweaty, giving MC a sweaty hug before going to change. He hops on MC's bike afterwards. Even if LL is old enough to have his own bike, he keeps lending it out just so he can ride with his Jiu Jiu At their back, out of their sight, Xu Yan is stalking them (you know what, I'm gonna officially call her bitch). At home, they discuss about LL going on a school field trip. Male cousin chimes in of his own and tells them how jealous he is that LL is going to C city. After supper, LL and MC goes up to their room. MC is squatting down and cleaning up when LL comes and hold him from behind, around the waist, making MC shiver LL asks if he scared MC but MC says not to do that again but he keeps doing it time after time and each time, MC shivers LL's field trip was delayed for two weeks due to various circumstances but LL doesn't want to go, it would be his first time away from MC's side. MC doesn't listen to LL's complaints but instead, hands him a cell phone and tells him to call him regularly instead showing LL that MC was adamant in his decision. In fact, MC didn't want to let LL go if he was so reluctant but his uncle and his grandma was sorta getting disapproving about LL sticking to MC all the time. It was alright when he was younger and scared but now that he was all grown... so MC takes every opportunity to let LL be independent. So the day of the field trip, bitch appears (and you're about to find out why I don't like her) and talks to LL. LL ignores her at first despite the fact that she says they are related. Then she threatens to tell his school that his father is a murderer and LL asks if that's true before angrily following her. MC on the other hand is super worried about LL and gets a call during break. He answers it a bit later but it wasn't LL but her aunt (or grandma) calling to tell him in panic that LL is missing. MC runs home while telling himself to calm down, to not panic while trying to call LL's cell. Normally, the police won't intervene so early on since LL hasn't been missing for 24hr but only 2hr but uncle and uncle Zhang are acquaintances and they pressured the police. MC explains that there was no way LL would close his phone when MC told him to keep it open (*snorts* this is sticky LL afterall) and that he installed GPS on LL's phone (good thinking MC!). In this era, GPS is still new so very expensive but for LL, MC went the extra mile They soon get a call from the teacher of LL saying that someone saw LL leaving and it seemed like LL knew this person so they immediately came to the conclusion of Xu family. The point of view changes to bitch and bitch's brother who is looking at the very expensive cell phone with envy before calling LL's grandma and demanding money. Grandma demands to hear LL and LL tells grandma not to worry The police doesn't take long to bust LL's aunt and uncle's house. They think their daughter is kidnapped but when the police says that his daughter kidnapped LL, he says what's wrong with that, they are cousins. Uncle Zhang is furious and the aunt and uncle are still afraid of uncle Zhang since the last time he threatened them two years ago. So he threatens-ish again that the two of them can get 10 years of imprisonment for kidnapping and the two let him and his officers look in the house. They had concluded that someone had co-operated with bitch and after a quick search, figured it was her delinquent jobless cousin. Long story short, LL gets saved but bitch and bastard didn't leave him intact so LL is in the hospital with broken bones. The family goes to see him and MC announces that he'll be staying with MC which means he'll be skipping school the next day. No one bothered to protest. MC then chews out LL about his decision to follow bitch, that knowing martial arts doesn't mean he's invincible and shouldn't rely on MC and all that. LL's friends and class come to visit, his school trip was delayed again due to the teacher being worried about the kidnapping and all. At least that kidnapping incident ended fast enough (unlike those that drags on and on and on and on...)
No details really. She's too young to go to jail. MC wanted to take care of the Xu family (LL's blood family) when he first saved LL this time and had thought of a thousand different ways to get rid of them but if he did that, his uncle and his family wouldn't have treated him the same way as they do now (also, uncle and uncle Zhang kind of took care of the Xu family back then too). The cousin that helped the bitch though went to jail.

LL actually saw his dad killing his mother in front of him and then saw the police killing his dad in front of him. That's one of his major traumas aside from being abused my his aunt and uncle. He even had a nightmare about it in the past. (p.s. will update spoilers once every two days since I started work)
